Just got a scrambler and have been watching all your videos. Just wanted to say thank you for providing these extremely helpful and unique videos around the mods you've done!
Got a Hyper Scorpion on the way. Never had an e bike but happy to see you and others offer support on top of a growing market of products for these things.
Just realized Kentucky abbreviation is KY not KT 🤣. Oh man I crack myself up. Thanks for all the support!
Thank you bruv! I'm going to check out some of those upgrades for sure!
Hey brother just want to say thank you very much for link you put on UA-cam I bought the same tires you got and there extremely awesome 👌 thanks brother 🙏
Thanks for the video! Very helpful!
Great review and alot off good info buddy
Good wrap up. Thanks.
You're the fucking man. I love your videos! All the info about the scrambler is what made me decide to buy one. Cant wait til mine comes. Keep the videos coming!
Welcome back
I got the Bolton Bikes upgrade kit w/real’ 750 w Bafang for my 2018 RadMini. Now I got the Hyper Scrp will install took me 3 months for it to arrive. Crazy!
Very informative...thank you
nice work on the bike, I looked up the tires on amazon, am little confused on the right size ,they have those tires in like 8 sizes, will have to look at my bike tires to figure that out
Died laughing when you checked to see if they crushed it.
Great videos I appreciate you making them.
That controller says 48v. Where did you find the upgraded controller for this bike?
I think the scramblers that are on pre order right now are updated version of this. Not sure what exactly is upgraded but it isn't much.
You seem like you know motors and controllers pretty well. I just bought a Blix packa and I wanted to see how hard it would be to get some more kick or torque out of it. I know it’s a totally different bike but taking a chance you might have an idea to point me in the right direction.
Great vid, on the fence about purchasing this bike. Random question... but I'd love to have my 3 year-old son in front of me on the seat. What would you recommend for his front feet? Are there any holes on the frame near the battery for pegs? Thanks man
I like those tires. can you tell me the size of the tires you got there on
Hi, do you have any anti theft protection installed? Pretty much you can just turn it on and drive away without any keys.
Been looking at brake choices my Hyper Scorpion brakes and disk got to go. Suspension fork needs replacement too. Rest of the bike is fine. Love the rear suspension. Of course by now you know the new Scrambler 2. They recently had blow out sale though I think that one wasn’t included (not sure) but anyway crazy deals.
Was considering buying the scrambler 2 but decided to save money for traveling. I hear you can't go bigger than 180mm on the rear of the scorpion because the swing arm gets in the way. 205mm up front would help a lot.
Hey bro! Thanks for such informative vids! Have you ever changed a front wheel bearings on a front mag wheels type like the city scrambler type? I think I have to change mine. If you can give me some pointers? Thanks
I've never done that before. I think they're a sealed style bearing. You need to find a part number and scour the internet. Sry I couldn't help more.
if you increase the voltage you get be able to go faster. 36V goes around 30 k/h, 52V goes around 60 k/h but 72V will take you 70+ k/h
I have the same bike city scrambler you think if I get a tire like yours in the back i will be fine ? I have 52v n 13am battery you think is going to waste more battery?
What is that funky tire size. Are those rims for 20" tires? Did you replace the original rims? I am blown away at the fact that there are so few choices for road tires for a fat bike.
hey VMF. I followed your instructions and got a 45a KT controller from aliexpress. (Thanks for the detailed instructions btw) I'm just waiting for the shipment now. Do you have a link on where to get the upgraded power cable to the motor? I'm afraid of it running a bit hot now. I'm have a Cross Current S (CCS). I imagined it would be the same type of cable.
Thanks
cant find shrinko sr 241 in 20 inch?
Motors have a certain rpm per volt. So that's why your top speed never changes, your battery voltage is always the same.
Thanks that makes perfect sense. I should’ve known that.
In one of the juiced videos he talks about having to work with bafang to develope a new motor for the hyper scorpion to get it to a higher rpm so it’ll do over 30mph
Were you able to get the new controller to work with the stock PAS? A lot of people have had issues getting the stock one to work.
Never mind. Just watched your video on how to wire up the new controller and that answered my question.
My bike is surging too ! It goes , then slows down & go again .. which wire do you think it could be ?
I might have to retract my statement a little. I got curious and switched motors. That also stopped the surging. This issue is so ghostly. But a new controller clears it up no matter what. So now i'm baffled. I have a 25amp kunteng controller and LCD that i'm gonna give away very soon (it's all wired up to plug and play). I don't need it and it's gonna collect dust. Odds are good that you could get picked from the hat. Will upload video to get names very soon.
Cool video and thanks for the update. Been following your channel and adventures with your bike. BTW, I never had a surge issue. Mine was the opposite. I had the motor cutout and cut back in when I was pedaling fast. If if slowly ghost pedaled it didn't happen. It also didn't happen when I was on throttle. This problem manifested itself with both the stock and off-road controller. The fix ended up being a swap of the old cadence sensor with a new 18-pole cadence sensor. Juiced was great...they sent me a new sensor. Haven't had a problem with my IGG bike since. City Scrambler. Do you have the Star Union brakes? If so, what kind of pads are you using?
Very informative, what size is your extra battery?
I forget exactly. I think it was 31ah.
That's a nice set up. Ever think about enclosing the battery area on both sides?
I'm fine with it. Yeah it would look better and give it a little protection. Maybe some day...good idea.
@@vanmasterflash7153 I'm definitely gonna check your channel out more. I wanted The Scrambler or the Onyx rcr. Thanks for the info.
What do you think of front forks upgrade? Mine is leaking oil. Thx for the video.
It's not cheap but if yours is leaking I suppose. I think it's normal for all of them to collect a little dust by the seals.
Does that controller increase the throttle only limit from 20mph to 28? The website has a throttle kit that can increase the throttle only top speed from 20 mph to 28.
It does. Mine will do 30 mph full charge. Juiced off-road controller only removes the speed limit on throttle alone. You still get only 20 max amps with throttle and 25 with pedal.
How do these thing handle hills, about 600 feet of elevation over half a mile.
I haven’t taken it on any long hills. Seems to do good on medium and short inclined. I’m sure after a while the motor would start warming up. But it does fine. Should hold 15mph on the steeper stuff like you mentioned
Can the handle bars be made to be easily removable? Or foldable?
It’s pretty easy to fold them down, removing would be a problem with the brake lines. It’s a rather large bike.
Would you recommend getting the smaller battery and upgrading it aftermarket or doing it w the factory?
Get the upgraded one from factory or a second battery. Second battery would be most cost effective. They took the empty row out of the batteries the second year of production. It was hurting their battery sales.
@@vanmasterflash7153 how does this thing take hills? I have a huge hill to get to my house and I want to make sure this thing takes hills no problem.
What Size Shinko Tires work with This Bike?

Can you change the LCD without changing the controller ? Thanks
Not the stock one. Kunteng has two options.
3cheerz i’m looking to change to a color LCD
Anyone know what controller and display please?
Kunteng 35 amp and kt lcd8h display.
What is the function of the controller?
It puts power controlled power to the motor in basic terms. Otherwise the power would be full on or full off.
I’m having trouble finding the exact controller. Can anyone help me find it? Thank you
Might be getting tougher with all the shipping issues. If you can’t find it on aliexpress or Amazon then you might not ever find it. This group might help you find it or possible better. facebook.com/groups/593460241177140/?ref=share. Brian Mckibbin has used a different one with very good results. Very knowledgeable
Is this the one? It says 35A and usually for 1500 watt motor. There’s one with black and white lcd and one with color.
KT Ebike Motor Controller LCD led Display Kunteng 36V 48V Lcd3 lcd8h 880 LCD7 Electric Bicycle Bike Display Controller
Did those rims come stock?
They didn’t
blackl1steddrums they are the cityrims
Are those brakes Hydraulic ??
Yes
you can't get more than 30mph because you're reaching the point where your motor is supplying zero torque. it doesn't really matter what controller you use or how many amps you feed to the motor when you're at its max rpm; it drops to zero efficiency in that regime. the only way around this is more voltage, but you *don't* want to overvolt your motor.
i just want longer battery life.
These make me feel bad that I bought a 150cc scooter because I'm still trying to make it handicap ridable for me but upon doing resaerch I realize the simple throttles for the electric stuff would be easy to accomplish on one of these.
Don’t despair man, you can sell the scooter and buy one of these! (I hope) good luck 🤙
