Welcome dear, If you want to make use of elastic, the measurement to be used on the waistline for both the bodice and the trouser part should be the hip circumference, instead of the waist circumference.
The length of the elastic that will be used will be the waist circumference, so that it can fit the waist line.

I'm so glad I came across this video😢 thank you so much. But pls, how doni go about it when I don't measure the crotch? I didn't make her sit to measure the crotch, pls what calculation do I use in this case?
Welcome dear, the crotch depth for a jumpsuit is usually varies depending on the persons size. You can divide the persons hip size by 4 and add 1.5 or 2 inches to the answer.

Pls is it because its jumpsuit that's why the crotch extension is divided by 16 not hip divided by 20 for the front and Hip divided by 10 for the back crotch??? Pls shade more light on this 🙏🏼

Welcome ❤️❤️. I usually go down by 3inches from the crotch depth. If my crotch depth or crotch line is 11, i use 14 as my thigh line.

Are we supposed to add extra to our crotch length when making jumpsuit?
If you want the crotch very free yes… but in this video, i didn’t because i wanted it to be fitted
