I cry just watching this. Such a sad sad story. 28 years old. Unbelievable. Their skating is absolutely timeless. The best pairs ever.

The only ones that can take their place are Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. Both these couples skate as one. Tessa and Scott brought the "Dance" to Ice Dance again.
Agree they were so perfect just melted into each other became one.
Never seen a couple so perfect together.

I find tears in my eyes every time I watch this video. They were so in love and it showed in all their performances. Sergei’s death was a crippling loss of fate to everyone, especially Katia and Daria. But Katia stood tall and never quit skating and being a wonderful mom raising little Daria. God bless them.🙏😇

I saw this program in person when they did Stars on Ice. It was just magical as everything Sergei and Katia did. Rewatching this after all of these years makes me want to cry. So sad......

Dopo la morte di Sergei ho smesso di guardare il pattinaggio. Avevo cominciato diversi anni prima, innamorandomi di Katarina Witt (per ovvi motivi, oltre la sua immensa classe) ma anche di quella coppia di ragazzini, lei cosi' piccola e nervosa, lui che la guardava con quel sorriso caldo che la calmava. Li ho visti maturate un po' alla volta, interessarsi l'uno all'altra sempre di piu', al punto che una volta mi sono detto: "E' impossibile che siano solo una coppia di pattinatori. Ci deve essere qualcosa di piu' tra loro". E c'era. Mi mancano come coppia. Da matti.

у него болело сердце, здоровье не принадлежит им!, к сожалению, а сердце болело и не раз и не два, сердце это серьезно, а не авось! Очень полюбила Сергея иКатю!!!
А больное сердце изменило Сергея, если посмотреть за последний год записи он повзрослел лет на 10,поплотнел в теле, а полнота всегда у сердечников, а по записям 1995г уже видно усталость, в конце катания одышка сердечника, глубокие нездоровые выдохи от привычных нагрузок. И как не видели специалисты, это ужас. Молодой человек, даже страшно писать, похоронил себя заживо, и так практически у всех, кто так отдаётся своему делу. Все это понимают, поэтому многие пишут, что плачут после стольких лет после просмотров видео. Очень печально. Светлая память Сергею.
@@user-hj9lo3tp7qда там уже в 1989 году после исполнения программы в Париже у него одышку видно. Он дышит тяжело, но все равно бодрость стпрается сохранять. Дальше хуже пошло...жизнь в Америке, постоянные переезды, незнание своего организма ухудшили его состояние. За собой он видно не следил там. Здесь и языковой барьер роль играл. Плюс он не любил рассказывать Кате о плохих новостях.
И вообще один журналист который знал пару утверждает что ещё в СССР на тренировках ему часто плохо было, но они игнорили , потому что успех нужен был.

Бывают дни, когда казалось бы всё хорошо: и спокойно, и тихо, и не ожидаешь чего-то плохого (оно и не происходит). Бывает гораздо хуже. Но накатывает именно в такой день какая-то безумная грусть. И в горле ком, и глаза полны слёз вроде бы без всякой на то причины. А ещё, если посмотришь что-либо сентиментальное в такой момент, непроизвольно катятся слёзы. Наверное, так сказывается физическая усталость с психо-эмоциональной длительной нагрузкой...
У меня сегодня такой день. Сначала послушала утром интервью с Екатериной и расплакалась. Весь день так и проходила со спазмом в горле, едва сдерживая себя, чтобы не разрыдаться. А вечером стала пересматривать выступления Сергея и Екатерины. И остановилась на этом их нежном и трогательном. Эмоции захлестнули. Даже комментировать номер не хочется. Итак всё ясно из музыки, движений, взглядов. Уверена, Катя и Сергей останутся в памяти и сердцах их поклонников. 💖 К этой паре будут снова и снова возвращаться неравнодушные люди, наслаждаясь их отношениями и бесподобными по исполнению танцами на льду.👏❤️
I understand your feelings. I don't cry (since I was a boy, my father - and he was a great man - forbid me to do it), but sometimes I take the "My Sergey" book or I start to see their performances, or interviews and read or watch them for yet another time. I'm not able to accept his death, even after so many years. Fortunately I'm atheist, because I would be so angry with any god...

Sergei's 50th birthday is tomorrow (Feb. 4, 2017). I saw them skate this program (1st and only time I saw them skate together) the day after his final birthday, on Feb. 5, 1995, at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, with Stars on Ice.
Why didnt I go?? I was in college in Mankato at the time....bummer.
