44:21 The Master Bedroom is by far one of the spookiest locations of the house.
The poltergeist activity in the room combined with the rumbling furniture, the female crying noises, and the introduction to the TV enemy make for an incredibly creepy encounter.
I wish the rest of the game had moments like this because this felt like true horror.

Don’t forget that they included one of the unused scenes in the movie for DJ! Originally, DJ would be chased by pipes bursting out from the walls, but it was deemed too scary for the movie. They did however, include that scene in the game, but replaced DJ with Jenny. Loved the horror!
Speaking of crying, I always wondered who it was.
I always thought it was Constance, but if it is, why? She is trying to kill them afterall.
@@number1musichater430 Yes its most likely Constance given that we see a shadowy entity possessing the mannequin of her figure in the next room.
As to why we hear the crying in the master bed room, the best explanation is that its probably were all of her grief and hatred from her time in the circus are concentrated, hence all the paranormal activity.

I think the funniest thing about Monster House was....how did NO ONE else notice the house???? Was no one else looking out their window? Did no one see the monster house with tree arms going down the street chasing the kids???? Makes me laugh everytime i think about it

Feels like the type of game you would play after a day of primary school. For me that game was garden warfare.
I find it really weird that a horror movie is less scary than a horror game made about that movie +the opening is actually the third scariest part about this game

@@nikolasherrin6022 I came and read and earlier 2004 version of the script, and I realized that the novelization for this movie was based on that version of the script

When I played this game, I was terrified of breaking random vases and other objects because that made the house shake. It got me stuck for a while at the part where doing so is mandatory.

When I got the artbook, I was blown away when I saw that some of the concept art actually resembled some of the environments from the game.
The whole game itself was based on an extended version of DJ's nightmare and how the kids were going to go deeper into the house in one of the drafts of the script.
in the novelization, Chowder ended up in the Bedroom and Jenny ended upin the kitchen.

The GBA version of Monster House is the definitive edition in my opinion. A great selection of maps, well-established combat, chilling music, decent puzzles, and a large amount of variety in regards to level appearance.

This game is piss easy, right up until you get to the attic in chapter 4. I've done this 3 times, and I just get killed no matter what.
It's ridiculous that they expect you to fight multiple chairs, 2 stoves, and 2 lamps at the same time -- with the smoke hurting you, and being cornered.
I swear, every enemy in this game is just a sponge. Takes most of your gun to kill *one.*

I was watching the video and that part in the basement when dj is like "the exit is back where you came from, right?" And a Chick-fil-A ad played and when it was over it was like jenny snapped out of it😆
This reminds me of the "Series of Unfortunate events" computer game I had.
I got so good at that thing I could beat it in less the 2hours. There was one secret I never fully unlocked though.
Which was collecting all 100 of these wooden shaped eyeballs (I forget how many but I was always one eye away from collecting them all). Everytime you collected 10 of them you got one of the play bills from a play production count Olaf was in. I always of those eyes and the majority of the play bills but it was always near the end of the game when I would miss that last eye. And I'd searched the game everywhere and never found it.
It was a great game despite how I was in elemenrty school when I played it and replayed it back in middle school still completing it in less then 2 hours.
It was fun and the detail was great (until you glitched and saw the character structure or went back to certain parts of the map and got stuck under the map)
