Why 60 Minutes be hating on Sloths? Sloths are the coolest animals on the planet. I honestly never knew that JonTron did a video on my favorite critter, so thank you Kip.
Nature-based scientists are so desperate to talk to anyone about their thing that they will accept the sadist tendencies and public humiliation of journalists.
FWIW, sloths _are_ a heavily-nerfed descendant of an absolute unit of megafauna (being left a fraction of their prior size, and nowhere near the possibly-dominant species it once was). Being on the ground is very much a risk for them against ground-locked predators they don’t have the reaction speed to address, so whether or not their fallen young can be recovered or recover themselves, sloths make the tactical decision to not try. Also, they can grow moss on their own fur (which helps a bit with their camouflage, but is useless against birds of prey with F-U clear vision), but have also been known to mistake their own limbs for those of the tree they live in, possibly due to being _too_ familiar with the homes they do their best to not leave (causing them to fall). There _is_ legitimately an animal more lazy than the sloth (thus more deserving to be named after the sin), but I’ve forgotten what it is just now. All that said, they’re _significantly_ faster and more active in water (on the odd occasion they wind up falling in), to such a degree that they might even be more specced for it, but they don’t tend to make use of that except when necessary. So, there’s that.
Kip: Who watches these (insert boomer program)? Me: Boomers have the same content needs as us, except they don't have enough content and they can't find the stuff they want to see because they live in an alien world.
60 minutes is so weird, It feels like they’re stuck in the 90s, it presentation, the background, the script, the weirdly enthusiastic on the field member. Even the oddly specific topic because they ran out of things to talk about because it’s a slow day
Any animal that has maintained a certain trait for so long and SURVIVES isn't a mistake . No matter how weird or niche the gimmick may be, they keep it because it has somehow worked well enough. Was the entire 60 minute video just a rant or complaint against sloths?

Bold claim regarding speed there
@@wessltovyeah, pretty sure theres some experimental test pilots that would disagree about the speed thing.
@@DaMaddness
To be fair, I think most of those died in crashes, which fits with the original comment.

"You can never find memes in history" they say, while Romans literally invented the shitpost. Look up ancient Roman graffiti, nothing has changed.
Sloths are super cute. And I've honestly always wanted to pet one.
Picking on the truly innocent??? sloths ??? How low can you go?
