Easter egg you may not have noticed. The abandoned gas station that Francesca gets the call is where Hank got the ATM photo of the RV in Breaking Bad.

My best guess is that Saul got his hands on that Swing Master shortly before leaving the nail salon?

So apparently the shooting script for "Dedicado a Max" (the fifth episode of Better Call Saul's fifth season) had to be re-written, with Steven Ogg's Sobchak serving as a replacement for an actor who was said to be unavailable. As far as I know, they haven't confirmed who the original actor was intended to be, but Bill Burr has said that he had to turn down an offer to to appear on Saul for personal reasons, and it is widely believed that the Sobchak scenes in 5x05 were originally written for Kubi.

That's really interesting! I wish Kubi had been in that episode, Bill Burr was excellent in that role.

I may be misremembering but I thought Breaking Bad pretty much covered Saul's role in Brock's poisoning. Walt presumably came to Saul with some lie about why he needed to take the ricin cigarette from Jesse and Saul came up with a reason to summon Jesse to his office, where Huell stole the cigarette. I don't believe Saul had any involvement in actually delivering the flower's poison to Brock. We know Saul was unaware of Walt's plan because he later confronts Walt about it (which leads to Walt's first "we're done when I say we're done" line) and also says to Jesse something like "he said he was helping you, I didn't know what it was for" when Jesse confronts him about it.
Also, the dog in this episode was just to provide Jeff's friend with a plausible reason to be walking around the neighborhood at night (to walk the dog). Enjoyed the reaction/review!

I used to write short BB fanfics, and one was about the Lily of the Valley plant; it was a congratulatory gift from Saul to Walt and Skyler for their purchase of the carwash. Kuby delivers the flowers. Walt is home alone at the time, and isn't in the greatest mood so the conversation is brief but humorous.

I like how they don't reveal that phone conversation feels it's building up a great damn ending!

I’ve seen a couple of interesting meta analysis of the intro being distorted and taped over. One says that every other season has 10 episodes and like you said he can’t NOT the show is literally being pushed past it’s end but Jimmy always keeps going la cucaracha .

Fargo is coming this winter. Banshee, maybe, we’ll see. I’ve meant to get to it for years.
