Damn, y'all. I really appreciate how y'all approached this with such open minds. We recorded this in a closet at my parent's house, on a tascam 8 track, with very sparse recording knowledge damn near a decade ago, and listening back I honestly share a few of y'all's criticisms. This was really cool to see!! Thank y'all for givin' us a minute there, hope y'all been well, and if ya ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask!!
Frigging love this whole album. Yall got me through the pandemic with your music.
Comming from Black Metal, to me it was the rough vocals that drew me to DnD in the first place. Great Song!
I'm into punk, hc, alt-country, folk and indie. Starting to get into folk punk, kudos to DnD💥🏴☠️🤘
Love you Jesse. I don’t know you but your music means the world to me. Helped me help myself through a lot of shit.
I absolutely adore Days n Daze, and get they're not everyone's cup of tea. I dig seeing any and all reactions to them, and any folk punk. Each to their own.
🤷♀️💖
So glad ya dig the tunes!! Hope you're havin' a great start to the new year!!
Folk punk isn’t always like this. Sometimes it’s as simple as folk songs played by punks
When he wiped his nose from the water from the vape....I felt tjat
You should do "I Love You Like An Alcoholic" by The Taxpayers, it has folk punk feel without the screams.
Added it to our request list! -Joel
I love the growl! We all have different opinions in music but keep in mind this was recorded in a closet with super low budget! They signed up with fat wreck chords! So sky is the limit!
My life improved once I discovered folk punk.
It's amazing, raw, dirty, and fantastic.
Love this band so much
I’m giving the brain cell to fluffer nutter on this one. And as for me, when I first heard this one by them I hated it, but after a week the chorus wouldn’t get out of my head. And then I came back a month later and listened to it again, and I really focused on the lyrics and found a new appreciation for the song.
I would say this is probably their heaviest song, and I really got into them the more I found how eclectic they are musically, and the more I followed the lyrics and even the relationship with the whole band. The two singers actually used to be in a relationship, but when they broke up they decided to keep the band together and ended up released the album this song is on, their most popular album to date, and it’s really fascinating to see the raw emotion and creativity they have even after their break up and differences and yet they all still find family in each other at the end of the day, I’m looking forward to see what you guys think of their next songs!
I already requested more from these guys, so I won’t request anymore for now, but I will put in a request for another band I want to see your reaction to:
Neutral Milk Hotel: In The Aeroplane Over the Sea, and Two Headed Boy
Can’t remember if I already requested those or not but if I did then oh well, you two can have the brain cell to fight over.
Thank ya so much for listenin' with an open mind, and even goin' so far as to do some research!! Hope ya been well, hope the new year is treatin' ya well, and if ya ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask!!
I recommend checking out AJJ (fka Andrew Jackson Jihad) for one of the biggest and older folk punk band. The song “People II: the Reckoning” is a good place to start.
I'm exploring folk punk. Also not huge on the vox. But must mention Fishbone singer Angelo Moore plays sax in every show. They have other singers but he's the lead one🎤🎷. Also Sting plays 🎷a bit and Bowie played 🎷 quite well
my 2 cents: i love live LOVE dnd, whitney has the voice of an angel, jesse is a musical genius and their lyrics are pure gold. underappreciated af.
Yeah, I personally know a few people who love them, and we have some more requests from them in the future, so maybe we'll warm up to them! :) -Joel
@@KnightscastStudios give this a spin ua-cam.com/video/v0dUnoecoZ0/v-deo.html, maybe the penultimate dnd track, or try things like "rewind" or "blu jays". for a speedrush ua-cam.com/video/OUvjRuiqYyg/v-deo.html, yes atfirst it has this weird chipmunks on speed feel, but i promise you WILL love them;). edit: i'm a 54 year old fart, listened to nearly everything punkrelated, but 10 years ago daysndaze really was a gamechanger for me. and they are the loveliest kindest people:).
Thank ya so much for the kind words!! Hope ya been well!!
We had a fantastic folk punk bands from my home town of Reading, UK called Smokey Bastard. They have some very slow folky songs but also some very fast and heavy songs that border on metal. On the latter sound - try their song Archipelago. For a more folky song, try Old Jack.
The vocals are harsh but a lot more tuneful and not screechy like DnD
Sweet! Ill add those songs to our request list for you. :) -Joel
When I first heard this band they had just put out the album this song is on. I hated it at first, to be honest. But I was infatuated with the intensity and brutal honesty of the songs that weren't more on the upbeat side of things. Before I knew it this band took a seat up alongside my favorites.
If you want to hear a song or two by them that don't have the screaming in them, try their song Flurry Rush:

If I can make a request, could you react to one of these? (They're a bit easier on the ears than DnD haha)
Sadurn - Snake: ua-cam.com/video/MKqNmTH4CWE/v-deo.html
The Mountain Goats - This Year: ua-cam.com/video/ii6kJaGiRaI/v-deo.html
Thanks so much for givin' us a chance there!! Really appreciate ya comin' at our stuff with an open mind and willingness to listen.
@@DaysNDazeOfficial Ay thank you for the music, it really helped me though a period of my life where I was resolving a lot of personal issues. Doing great these days. Hope everyone over at DnD HQ is doing well!
Punk is more about what they are saying then how it sounds
Not all their stuff is like this. Check out their song damaged goods. Probably more up your ally.
I dunno why they suggested this rather than misanthropic drunken loner
Yall would hate black metal
Yep 😂
Probably the worst review I’ve seen
Haha fair, we are faaaaaar from expert reviewers 😅
