awesome, thanks for the video. . helped me revive my old laptop using as media server on xtra tv. mine was a lil different a 5750. the heatsink went over the gpu and the usb-mobo and the fan was different and the usb ribbon connected differently . but all went well . running cool with Kryonaut Extreme paste. cheers !
Hello there! I used this tutorial to clean my fan back in April 20 and after reassembling it worked pretty well. Now I tried to do it again but after reassembling the screen isn't starting. I think the problem should be somewhere where screen connects with the motherboard or other parts of the laptop. Could you please tell me which one of the cables should I fix? Or what to do? ( I reassembled already 3 times now but the problem is still) ( I tried removing and repositioning RAMs but nothing helped, the screen is still dead. ) ( The power indicator is blue as usual)
Hi, I'm sorry for how many this happened to you, have you tried connecting an external screen and see if it displays? If the screen remains black it may have been damaged, the flat lcd or the video card ...
@@thesilentube83 Okay so I haven't tried any other monitor but I'm pretty sure the picture will be present on them. I am bringing the laptop to the computer service tomorrow let's see what they'll tell me new. I'll write an update
Update: Alright so the service guy told me that the motherboard was damaged during the process. I can approve that this tutorial actually helps since I cleaned the laptop back in april and it ran absolutely smoothly, Thanks!
@@dacchii I'm sorry for what happened to you but unfortunately it can happen in the disassembly and especially in the reassembly that something can go wrong, especially if those who engage in cleaning have no experience!
After cleaning the fan, the power button after press turns blue but nothing happens on the screen. After connecting the charger the orange power light is also not lighting.
@@thesilentube83 sorry, this was my fault. The power plug was not properly set. Even then I had a blank screen. After that I just relatched the Ram, then the laptop booted properly. In the process i damaged the speakers. Even after cleaning the fan assembly, the laptop heats up.
@@muneshchauhan If you do not have experience in disassembling notebooks, it can happen to break something, luckily you will find cheap speakers at the used (eb @ y). Have you changed the thermal paste besides cleaning the heatsink? 'Is critical!
@@thesilentube83 Yes I have cleaned the old thermal paste and added the new one on both the processors (CPU & GPU). I think I damaged the speakers by pressing on the top round part. Is there any way to repair them. At high volume, I hear vibration sounds. Thank you for your help. I am now planning to add a SSD (240 GB) and put the current 640 GB HDD in the DVD ROM bay using a caddy. I have already bought the SSD and the 12.7 mm caddy. Do you have any specific suggestions on this?
@@muneshchauhan Once the speakers have broken, the membrane must be replaced! The SSD I advise you to install it in the main sata slot, if you want two hard disks put in the dvd slot the slower one with the adapter, but do not expect the same speed as before in reading / writing!
@@thesilentube83 sorry for too much questions but how could i know if it is charging circuit or the port or the charger itself After i insert the charger it remains for few seconds then power and charging light begins to blink and charging stops
Thank you very much! you helped me a lot :D you made an hard job turning into an easy one!

Thanks its very useful video
Can i replace this hdd with ssd ?
You can put an SSD on any notebook, Ok compatible with the Sata standard. i recommend samsung or sandisk for compatibility issues.
@@thesilentube83 what about crucial brand ?
@@hssn124815030 Those are fine too, as long as they are well-known brands
This is not the 5750g. Its heatsink is totally diffrent.
Merci
Can Acer 5750G ram up to 16G?
Max 8GB!

There seems to be a problem with the power supply, re-assemble and check that you have connected everything properly

Why the battery charges only when laptop is off
While its on it doesnt charge
I believe there is a problem with the charging circuit
@@thesilentube83 not the charger itself ?

Screen stopped working after thjs
Recheck all connectors, especially the flat LCD
Disassembly should only be done if one has experience or good manual skills.
