- I just got back from a week in New Orleans with FORTY other beauty creators! This was a Creators and Friends retreat, organized by Samantha March (@SamanthaMarchxo) and Cymbre (@cymbrethinks on IG), to bring creators together and foster community over competition. Honestly, I had mixed feelings about this vlog. I LOVED seeing you and some of my other favorite content creators "out in the wild"! ;) I LOVED the feeling of fun, community, and support that went throughout this video. Some videos about this trip were just girlies talking about the trip, which is fine, but I really liked the behind-the-scenes - snacks, thrifting, exploring... I confess, though, to fast-forwarding through a few parts (auction, gift exchange). I am most grateful that you shared links to all the content creators you hung out with! Nice - a fellow reader! What are your favorite genres, and read any bangers so far this year? 😄
I read all genres but Romance just because I have cold dead black heart 🤭 but my faves are Horror, SciFi, Fantasy, Thrillers, Adventure and Historical Fiction. I try to sprinkle in some Classics, Non-Fiction and Poetry.. which make really good tandem reads for other genres as well.
I definitely love a good psychological thriller, I can lose myself in one all day. Also I do enjoy a romance but I’m not a smut girl 😅 love most stuff with a magic component- I have been loving Adrienne Young for that and read The Unmaking of June Farrow which instantly became a fav, as well as Spells for Forgetting!

.. that's probably why I don't really like Romances.. tend to be heavy on the smut but I'm ok if it's a good story with Romance as a sub-plot.
