Thank you so much for sharing these precious recordings and memories of conventions long ago. The speaker, I am sure is Brother Frederick Franz (who enjoyed rolling his “R’s); while the picture is of his contemporary, Bro Maxwell Freschel (Friend) - who was one of the four original Gilead instructors.

Thank you for sharing these fine recordings. Please be advised that the speaker is Frederick Franz. The chairman's accent makes it appear to sound like Friend, however having been a member of the Bethel family in association with both brothers I can confirm that this is Brother Franz.

That speaker is Fred Franz, not Max Friend, the picture (I think) you posted.
