Bargain Barons thank you so much for putting up these links! How sweet!
Thank you so much for visiting our new Antique Store! It wouldn’t have been properly “christened” without your stamp of approval. As well, the reason I gave you such a deal on the plaques is for what you do for the antique / vintage / collectible community! You educate, you promote our local businesses, and showcase our collecting community! If it hasn’t been said, we appreciate what you do! Great job you two!
Ada I loved your place !! I would have spent my whole paycheck there ! Good Luck if im ever in that part of Canada it will be a first stop!
Vickie Forner thank you so much! We worked so hard on display in this new place. Also trying to get vendors who specialize in different genres of vintage & antique. It gives a much fuller shopping experience!
Ada Bennett I applaud your courage to promote antiques and vintage in challenging times. I truly wish for you success!
Love the store, I'm your first subscriber, so hopefully you will video your store and tell us the story behind the pieces you have for sale/or the nfs ones!
Peppi Holliday hello Peppi. My store in Collectors is closed! I only have this one now.
Thanks Rob for showing how the plaques are displayed in your home!
I really like how you framed the plaques!
Thanks girls! =) That's Karen's decorating expertise at work. It was her idea to put them in a frame like that. Looks great!
How wonderful of Ada to sell you the plaques for the same as she paid for them. Not many people would have done that. Nice lady!
Definitely!!!! She's very good to us - we love Ada! =)
They way in which you displayed the plaques, I must say so respectful. Beautiful.
Karen's idea. :)
The plaques look amazing in that frame!
Beautiful building, love the ambiance of the place. If I have get to, Canada will def.go there.
Beautiful display for the plaques!
Love Ada's booth! I could stay there for a long time.
Ada is so nice!! 💜
Plaques beautifully displayed!! Well done!
Framing the casket plaques was a cool idea! Awesome treasures ... again!
I was able to check the new Vintique Market out a couple weeks ago when I had a medical appt in the city. Wish I had more time to look around longer!
AWESOME!! Yes we definitely have to go back!!! We went to other booths too, although we didn't buy anything from them. I wanted to include some of that footage, but the video was so long already I ended up cutting footage of the other booths we didn't buy from. So definitely will have to go back in the next week or two and film again and show some of the other booths that didn't make this video. =)
Oh good....a new antiques and collectibles place!!!! Karen did a great job on displaying the coffin plaques....she was really thinking out side the box (no pun intended). And thanks for introducing and sharing Medicine Dog ... I always enjoy Native American arts, history and culture.
HAAA Outside the box!!!! LOL That maybe wasn't intended... but sure was funny!!! =D
The plaques are exquisite .
Glad to see your out and about again.... Love the way you displayed the casket plaques.....Good Luck to Ada at the new store.... :)
Love how you displayed the casket plaques 👍🏼❤️
Totally Karen's idea! =D
Awesome plaque display ♥️
I love the way you framed those casket plaques.
Thanks bubbley vixen! =)
Love the casket plates, I didn't know how you would display them. They look lovely in that frame 💙💚 Medicine dog seems fun!
Thanks Cathi! =)
What a wonderful place .
Haha... that is literally "bumming" a smoke. ☮
🤣😂🤣
*HAAAAA!!!! YES!!!!!!*
the history of the find is so intriguing, who would ever have thought that getting stuck in the mud would pay off like that!
I know!! So interesting hey!?!? What a fluke too!!! If not for trying to take a short cut through that field, they'd likely still be underground! =)
it will be sad not to see Ada at the mall but now she can display a lot more. good luck all at the new antique store....by the way , that is a nice way to display those casket plaques. I loved robs showing of his new friend, Medicine Dog. I will go check out his channel. Cree is my ancestral language but I cant speak it. And I love going to watch pow wow on utube.
Thanks Carol! =)
I could pick Susan out of a crowd by her voice. 🤣
Hahaha TOTALLY!!!! =D
The casket plaques were a nice "gift" to you but I am partial to the works of Washington Irving. The three volumes seemed to be in remarkably well preserved condition. They'll be a great addition to Rob's book collection.
Just started watching your channel. I appreciate watching your interactions with people. You're always respectful with your negotiations. You buyers and sellers clearly recognize that, in how they remember you when they're picking and selling. And, best of all, no drama!
Thanks and welcome!!! Glad you enjoy our garage sale adventures! 😁😁😁
You two have made some wonderful friends in the antique world. I love how you are so interested in the "different". I love that stuff too. Love your home.
Thanks Deb!!! Yes we like to be unique and interesting, and fill our house with items you don't see in everyone else's house. =)
A new market, how exciting ♥️
Awesome haul!! Great scores!! 💜
How very interesting some future episodes there will be !!
Wow!!!
Great stuff and I really enjoyed Mansil at the end.
Thanks guys for sharing Mansils page 🎉❤️❤️❤️
My Jadeite mixing bowls have uranium in them so the glow in the dark.
*AWESOME!!!* =D
I love the way you guys displayed the grave markers. Nice job! 😀
just watced you video. i love that place you visited! Antiques Gal0re!!
I love the new shop a lot of interesting things great video
What a unique and unusual way to make use of old ironing boards!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes Ada's so creative and does a great job staging everything!! =)
I love it when people notice those details!
I don’t want this episode to end yet!!!
We'll DEFINITELY have to go back!!! We filmed at some of the other booths too (didn't buy anything at the booths tho), and I wanted to include that footage, but the video was already on the long side, so ended up cutting some of the footage of other booths. SO, we will go back soon and film in some of the other booths in the Vintiques Market. =)
Cannot wait to see what a casket plaque is. Have never heard of that here in Virginia. I have seen many of the trinket boxes in both s/p and brass. I figure the silver wore down and someone buffed the remainder off.
Let's go see Kelly !
Hey guys are you back on the hunt for 2020. I've watched all your old ones.I love how you displayed the placks
Plaques I misspelled🙃
I misspell things ALL THE TIME =D =D =D
I applaud anyone that would take such a tremendous risk opening an antique mall in these times. Great chance to see many treasures that have been stored for years. Of course, all of us “old ones” that have hoarded this stuff aren’t willing to participate in retail anymore. Been there, done that. Just look for our estate sales and auctions. Families are unprepared to deal with this massive undertaking. You’ll see unbelievable donations coming soon, out of desperation to get rid of the mess. Can’t blame them.
Rickey Donald Hi Rickey! I loved that you said this. I kind of looked at it as something I should do or I would regret not trying it. Luckily with 11 vendors involved, the risk is less than if I did a store on my own. We felt we should do our part in uplifting this collecting community, trying a more upscale approach to appeal to the new collectors just starting out!
Miss Nancy😢. Wish you could FaceTime with her for an episode.
Nancy has moved to the USA, and she isn't very technical so I'm not sure she'd know how to facetime or anything like that LOL.
You two never disappoint!!! Great video!👌👍💪
Thanks John! =)
So shared ❤️
I love ada xx
Wow! Those coffin plaques, i was just looking for some on Ebay yesterday!
I'm shocked what they're worth!
Rob, I have the same attraction to antique/vintage wooden bowls. Some of the best known ones are made here in Munising, Michigan.
It's so impressive to think some of these large bread bowls etc. are made from 1 HUGE piece of wood, turned on a lathe until the bowl was formed. Such a large amount of work, and as Ada mentioned, if the wood wasn't perfect, it could all just explode on the lathe as soon as that chisel hits a knot...
Enjoyed the video, what a nice place with lots of nice things.
I so appreciate you showing and sharing Mansil. I have 1/16 Cherokee Indian. Thanks guys for the awareness 😘😘❤️❤️👍
Glad so many people enjoyed the exposure in this video to Mansil and his YT page. =)
Wow, who knew??!! The silver plaques awesome, weird & wonderful, look great displayed the way you've done them!! I love old dresser items, those little boxes a favorite! Love the new mall, the way they've sectioned it, nice people too, great to deal with!! A VERY pleasant morning kids, enjoyed every bit!!! Best, Carol
Thanks Carol! =D
If you two can get out there in the freezing cold to look for treasures I’m going to give it a try. Estate sale tomorrow am lots of green depression glass/salt/pepper shakers etc, wish I could show you the pics. Taking my trusty UV. Flashlight. Great Video
GOOD LUCK JODA!!! Hope you find a ton of uranium glass for cheap! =D Fingers crossed! :)

Awesome field trip ! But I kinda feel like we are cheating on Nancy and Kelly and book lady:) Chatty Lady was adorable but she didn't say"its rare you'll never find another one" !

MrsWorm2 next time they come, I’ll make sure I say it for you! I miss Nancy as well. She was so interesting to talk to.
Yes we'll definitely have to take another trip to Centennial Market before spring to see Kelly and the gang down there. unfortunately Nancy has moved to the USA and so we don't get to see her anymore. :/
Love your channel!
Thanks so much Anita! =D
I love the way you have the grave plaques. That is so nice and really suits your house. I also love the donkey cigarette ass. That cracked me up. I should send a picture of that to my son and say "If you smoke your an ass." lol Great vlog.
LOL Ya that donkey was perobably my favorite item on her shelf there and I still think about it - if it's still there when we go back I just miught have to have it. Another viewer commented.. *"...now that's BUMMING a smoke!"* HAAAA!!!
Love the ending
Your wooden bowl carved from one piece, is it a burl bowl? Almost all of the bowls around here are burl bowls. Great idea on how you framed the casket plates.
No 100% sure.... I don't know a lot about wood... I could send you photos over FB just for curiosity's sake if you wanted... I doubt I'd part with it tho.,. ;) lol
Those pot metal jewelry boxes at 5:44, are called jewelry caskets. Go figure!
oh my gosh so many great things n she nice of her to share her story :) cute type writers I use to have one when I was a kids but don't even know what happen to it :(
Funny how we can remember some of our favorite things we had as a child, but we can never remember what happened to them!! LOL I wonder the same thing about some of the things I used to have... I wonder where it went!?!?!? HAhahahahahaha
Love you guys! I’m still out here chuggin along. 😉
*SO HAPPY TO HEAR IT MICHELE!!!!* :D :D :D We think about you from time to time and hope all is well. Glad to know you're still there and hope you have been feeling better!!!! If not, just come out for a visit and some fresh Canadian air will help you feel normal again! 1 =) LOL
Love u guys your videos r brilliant
Thanks so much Emma!! =)
Hello Rob & Karen! Question for you as you gather photos/ portraits in the wild, is there a way to mark them or a term you’d refer to them as since they are not theatrically part of your family? This is important to me as photos are lost in the wild and folks like to incorporate them into their decor or just to preserve them. I want to know how I should mark them as adoptive/staging/historical preservation photos. 1) I want to save these from the bears 2) but don’t want them to get confused with my actual personal family photos. Is this bad of me to want to independently identify them separately? ( of course w/o ruining the photo(s) )
Hi Anglerays!! Even though we buy a lot of old photos, I do not know what the industry standard is for that, but we would normally use a light pencil on the back of the photos, so it can be erased if needed. We would mark any family members as family, and list their names. For photos of other people we buy, we would just mark an *IA* on the back for Instant Ancestor - our name for people we don't know, but display like family in our home. Again, the light pencil on the back makes it easier for someone else to get rid of the mark if they choose.
What a fun trip and great job on the plaques!!! You guys are awesome 💕 cool ending. Have you shown him before bc he looks familiar.
Hey Dani!! Thanks so much! Ya those plaques look good in that frame! Karen's idea. Sorry, who are you asking about if we've shown them before? Bart? Yes he's been in some of the older videos from Centennial Market...
Bargain Barons yes Bart. I thought you could read my mind by now. Lol. I saw him before so it makes sense that it was from here. Tfs💕
Omg, Susan is selling there????
Millie is antique too. Fits right in.😃 I wonder how much postage would be from there to Australia? Something ridiculous I guess. Love the China cabinet.
Yes I think it would be a tad expensive to ship from Canada to Australia, but if there's something you saw that you like, Ada has shipped before!! In fact I think from one of our older videos, someone bought a whole bunch of S&P shakers from her, and she shipped it to AUSTRALIA! LOL
Bargain Barons this is true!
Hello Bronwyn, Postage depends on how long you are willing to wait. I sent 10 or more sets of salt and peppers, medium size box and the shipping was $40 CAD. Probably less if you are willing to wait longer for your package to come.
I've pinned Ada's contact links to the top of this comments section, but here they are again if you want to check out her goods, or any of the vendors at the YQR Vintique Market:
VINTIQUE MARKET'S WEBSITE: www.yqrvintique.com/
ADA's BUSINESS on FACEBOOK: facebook.com/ReLikedVintageRetro/
Thank you, Ada. There are a few things I would really love, but I've done a bit of research. I can't justify paying $160 Australian dollars postage for something that will only cost me $50 Australian dollars. Really would love to help you out though. Regards, Bronwyn.
Milli Vanilli. I love to chat, but no shopping gets done.
LOL
Whooda thunk those plaques would be such a big score!
Seriously!! I never would have guessed they'd be worth $50 each!! Karen was ready to pay up - I think she said she hoped to buy them for $100, so we were shocked when Ada wouldn't take more than $25!!! She's so good to us, and great deals like that will keep us coming back to film more and more - which also helps her spread the word about the new market. She's even had viewers in other countries contact her to buy things and have them shipped! =)
I haven’t seen y’all in a while....guess my mind has been elsewhere. What I want to know is how in the heck does someone find casket markers?? Dang!!! Hella creepy but cool (I guess)
How weird! I thought Stoddard and you looked at the set and it was. Mine are green and marbled end papers.
Ha!! You're psychic! =D
At 8:42 that cow creamer pitcher, I have one! Can you tell me it's value?
Jane Ward I think I know which one you are talking about. I had it at $20 CAD.
Awesome vid,😎
Didn't know what the casket blacks were
plaques. 😅😅
25 ????
I know right!?!?!?!? What an incredible deal!!!!
