Thank you for these lessons. I've had a ukulele for a couple of years,
but I couldn't do much with it because I didn't know any strumming
patterns. Your series has really helped me recognize the different
patterns, and make them manageable. I usually spend a couple of days on
each lesson, so that I can master the strumming pattern. I love that
this format allows me to do this at my own speed, and you do a great job
of breaking things down into smaller chunks. I like how there are 3
steps to the lesson, and I appreciate learning new chord progressions
each time. This has been a fun series. I'm contemplating sizing up
from my soprano ukulele to make it a little easier to manage. I'm looking forward to spending more time with the ukulele!

The way you teach everything is clear and easy. It's a good idea to associate the chord sequence with an existing song.
My favorite strumming pattern is the Day5 but I like them all. Its nice to have choice.
    Thank you Kevin.

Fun strumming pattern! I am so glad for this series. After doing some beginner series in March-April I felt a bit lost in which direction to go. To play songs was a bit too difficult. Then I found your 10 day course and made this as a fast refreshment. And then I found this strumming series which is the funniest! I have also discovered the more you learn the faster you catch up new patterns. I think the island strum took me six weeks this spring and now I can learn new one in less than a week. Thanks to you!

Love the series, it's been most helpful. I always try out the pattern with a sing afterwards, usually's it's your country roads.
One thing that you could improve: at 3:35, you count to four and then play in a very different tempo from the count, throwing me off for a bit. This came up a few times in your videos. But please keep them coming, I love your work!

I’ll start checking out some of his tunes to see if there is a good ukulele friendly song. Any suggestions? - Kevin | www.allforuke.com

That's the famous "I V vi IV" chord progression used in hundreds, maybe thousands, of songs, as highlighted by The Axis of Awesome's 4 Chords video: ua-cam.com/video/5pidokakU4I/v-deo.html . Learn the progression, put an appropriate strum and rhythm to each song, and you can play so very many hit songs. Moreover, when you learn how the Circle of Fifths works, you can transpose the chords to any key that suits your voice. Look at the partial list of possible songs: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Axis_of_Awesome .

For me ,this is much harder than it looks ! I get in trouble with the clap , and then the next upstrum . It feels sort of unnatural .

I felt the same way at first, but after a week or so with a lot of slow reps it started to feel more comfortable. Which strum from the series is your favorite thus far?
