Hey what is that duck in your photo cause I killed one like that and I thought it was mallard but it had green on its wing and it was way to big to be teal
I love wood ducks they taste so good and they are fun to timber hunt for them
But they suck cleaning aka getting the feathers out😂
Excellent tasting bird for sure and probably the hardest to hit the way they shuck and jive coming in. Not sure what buddy is talking about sucking to clean, I clean them like any other duck.
@@-B_G- He’s talking about how they are greasier and you can’t peal the feathers as easily as you could on most other ducks
The mature ones have great flank feathers for fly tying, too.

Confused why the guides are shooting with the clients? Never seen a guide shoot with clients. Usually, guide shoots cripples and that is it.
I was wondering the same. Cause what if the clients miss non-stop?
I’m no expert but if the guide takes his gun & shoots a few times, then that’s another limit of ducks that can be shot. Looks like to me Bobby is looking out for the clients. Bobby only killed 1 or 2 ducks

We have those Tanglefree panel blinds and they are awesome! There are even things that can be put on top for more cover

Bobby, have absolutely loved seeing Beth and the kids in the videos as of recently. I have gotten my fiancé to go from being annoyed that I am watching hunting videos at the dinner table, to her watching your videos without me because she wants to see how your family is doing! keep up the content brotha, it is helping some of us through some hard times
I lost my DUX call like those at the beginning of this season. Easily my favorite call ever. Decoy wrapped around it and broke it off. She now sits at the bottom of Back Bay. Sad times lol.
If these are paying clients why are you, the guide, killing birds? Maybe it has changed but the company my father ran would bring clients to this duck camp in this huge private marsh in South Louisiana and the guides only shot if we needed help. This was back in late 70's and early 80's. Is it because of wardens watch you kill? Just curious. God Bless n I live in Philippines now n just purchased a shotgun and chocolate lab that is 8 weeks old n doing good on her training. Duck hunting is illegal here but we have doves n few black mallards. We own a field where we plant rice n have 2 small ponds that wecwill be digging out n stocking soon n hope to attract couple birds in there with some bait so I can watch them n get to understand the ducks here. My first bird that I called in and shot was at 8 years old n I was in the blind by myself. That was when you could kill a certian number of each species of duck. Limit for teal at that time was 10 n there were days we would have to make couple trips back to blind to get all the ducks n geese. Was the best blind we ever had n we had a few in some great spots. Great videos n it is fun just watching. God Bless

Not being a hater but this is not timber hunting... True timber hunting is flooded solid big woods (cypress and oak trees) with a small hole. This is just a farm pond surrounded by a fence row of trees. Come down to west TN on the Mississippi River to get a taste of some real flooded timber hunting. This is a pretty hole though.

How bug in acreage is that water hole? I have ground that bidders a creek and had a spring going into the bottoms that I want to make a one to one and a half acre wetland in. I've seen wood ducks dive into the creek in years past, so I figured I'd bring in more ducks with a semi permanent water hole fed by the spring. Thoughts?
Hey man idk if you remember me but I've been watching a long time ....dogs are more of a predator than we are ..that being said don't run him as long as he will ...but don't keep him cooped ...keep him in shape man muscle mass will make up for bone in a sense and he been threw hell with parvo and everything else as a pup gotta let him do what he loves
