Me neither...you must read their book about it. 'Soul Survivor: The Reincarnation of a World War II Fighter Pilot' by Bruce & Andrea Leininger. There is so much more in the book.
The problem is that story has not been search in depth enough, well not in this short documentary. For example we learn that "At 18 months old, his father, Bruce Leininger, took James to the Kavanaugh Flight Museum in Dallas, Texas, where the toddler remained transfixed by World War II aircraft. A few months later, the nightmares began." So here we learn that there might have been information contamination, meaning the child may have absorbed subconsciously information about World War 2 like the name of the aircraft carrier or even his to be past life pilots buddies. So a real scientific method of inquiry would first make certain no such information was present in that museum. Also one can doubt that the woman that became his therapist Carol Bowman, who writes books about children experience past life, would not have implanted some information in the child to prove her statements. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but being a skeptic, one must first eliminate all other possible explanation before concluding to the one of reincarnation. Maybe she is a very honest person, but the problem is that in real life people lie for all sort of reasons and this is a sad truth about human being. If everybody was honest then the study of supernatural phenomenons would advance much faster and probably more scientist would study those outer limits experiences. In this case study Carol Bowman has to be interviewed and her credential checked. Hopefully more and more meticulous scientist will study those cases for the benefit of all mankind. I mean, I would be the first to be happy to learn that our consciousness can survive beyond it's physical death.
You write: "the child may have absorbed [at the museum] subconsciously information about World War 2 like the name of the aircraft carrier or even his to be past life pilots buddies." Well, how exactly would a museum contain info on the names of the crew of a relatively small and very obscure aircraft carrier? The Kavanaugh Aviation Museum is about aviation, not about ships from decades ago. Are you not grasping at straws to deny what seems pretty obvious here?
Listen John. I don't mind that you revive the argument as it is far from over. But I have learnt one thing in life, that if it is too good to be true, it might just be that... too good. I might be wrong? I honestly hope I am. Life would make more sense with reincarnation, but it is not a given. I am being a skeptic. When you study the paranormal you must first eliminate all others possibilities. Sadly the fact that he visited an aviation museum just before raises questions. Yes the might have been a nice picture on the wall with a crew next to their plane. It is the kind of picture people take. Then often on a memorial panel under is written the names of the persons on the picture. Sadly I have visited museum, and this is common. I have the same problem with the story of Elijah Ary's story (see this article goo.gl/tJWdSZ ), because his mother was hosting Buddhist seminars at his house when he was small and started recollecting memories of a past life. He was in contact with Tibetan monks and could have absorb information. It could have even been some kind of telepathy instead of memories of a past life. A paranormal study must go into all those hypothesis before concluding a phenomenal is real. Then only is it science. I have learnt that in University of Quebec in Montreal under the teachings of Louis Bélanger, one of the only parapsychologist with a real credited formation in the world. I actually studied in UQAM while Elijah Ary was there as a student (but he was a year before me in my program).
Here is an example of possible picture taken in WW2 after a google search go see the picture of The crew of the B-17F (below the article). goo.gl/9O8Wy All there names are mentioned.
François Morin Being a skeptic does not mean dis believing ...but i get your point , rigorous investigation needs to be done...but do you thing that's not been done?...there have been many scientists and doctors investigation these reincarnation claims...Dr. Weiss is the prominent among them... One of the doctors said that there have been at least 250 strong cases of reincarnation... and yes the investigation was rigorous...am not saying reincarnation is absolutely true, am saying that it's a logical answer ...at least to me..and that there have been skeptics doing a lot of research and concluding that reincarnation is a possibility...including the current claim about the boy being James 3... Recently in a study , it was concluded that our conciousness (brain activity) lives on for atleast an hour after the person's heart has stopped beating ...search on you tube ..now that is very interesting to me, because death is not a phenomena that occurs suddenly, it's not like a step function...! There have been numerous cases of reincarnation all over the world and research needs to be done seriously and not just jump into conclusions .
François Morin Pertaining to this case...there are obviously details that he didn't pick it up from the museum...actually, his visiting the aviation museum might have acted as a catalyst in his recollection of past memory...i think that's just as logical a conclusion as claiming that he absorbed those information ( if so, he has to be a super genius)... 1. Name of his co- pilot 2. Name of the ship 3. Details about the aircraft..his nightmares 4. The name James 3 All this and more he couldn't have absorbed from the museum...and being a skeptic, you seem to have no problem in accepting telepathy etc... So, it's more likely that the recollection were of the past life rather than outside influences but then later cannot be ruled out, but it seems very much unlikely...
I like that they morph his face to the WWII pilots, inferring that if there is a soul some how it shapes your body which makes no sense. People who want to believe in reincarnation will. One person cant be a "case for reincarnation" because everyone would be. This would be a much more common thing if memories (which are a physical thing) were some how tied to the abstract concept of your personality being some kind of reusable vessel.
I can never get tired of watching this amazing reincarnation story.

This is fascinating.

I was on the USS Arizona
This is true! We have a reincarnation case in our own family!
....or perhaps the case for demon possession....
AIRPLANE CRASH ON FIRE!
