Now THAT'S what I call entertainment. For any excuse, a friend and myself used to head to the tower ballroom and could always be found listening to (and feeling) the wurlitzer playing , not the typical haunt of two late twenties early thirties guys but Wow, the whole experience I'll never forget. Brings back memories, Thank you.
‘Mac the Knife’ in counterpoint with ‘12th Street Rag’ (at about the 25 minute mark) was most ingenious. Neither of them from the 1950s, but never mind!
Can anyone please tell me the title of the tune played at 2'04:19? I thought it was going to be "Doin' What Comes Naturally" from "Annie Get Your Gun," but it isn't. Does anyone know what it is?
One of the UKs finest Wurlitzer organs played by one of the best theatre organists in the world!
Reminds me that I am too am getting old. I remember Phil a young spritely 20-30 year old lad. :(
Brilliant musicianship, thank you Phil and to all who made this possible. A very entertaining set.
What a magnificent selection. 'Rock around the clock' on a theatre organ was a standout.
Fabulous from start to finish
A true master at work, enjoyed every moment, thanks for sharing this.
