One year ago, when i committed again to Lord Jesus, everytime i felt sad, the Holy Spirit remind me (in my heart) to sing this song. And when i sang this song, i saw Lord Jesus danced with a little girl, in the sunset at the beach. He's really like a Father who taught His little girl to dance and cheered her up. Yes we must appreciate the good and bad. The trouble with this video is that they have written "I" ungrammatically as "i" and have incorrectly used " *beside* (you)" instead of " *besides* (you)" which mean differently (as in "I am sitting *beside* you" and *"Besides* You, there is no other"). But this should not stop us from enjoying this beautiful song that is based on Psalm 73:25-26 but had " *My flesh and my heart*" changed to "My heart and my strength, many times they fail". Just sing it correctly as: "And there is nothing on earth that I desire *besides* You." ... and, to be scripturally correct, sing: *"My flesh and my heart,* many times they fail..." Portion here means inheritance. In Joshua 18, when Joshua was allotting portions of the promised land the the tribes of Israel, the Levites were not allotted a portion. God himself is their portion, as they were given the privilege of serving God. God is my portion, He alone is my inheritance, my reward and nothing else will suffice.

I quit going to church when I found out the the same people I prayed with were also the same people who's past family thought residential schools was the right thing, me being aboriginal, but praying? That means they successfully turn my ancestors into worshippers of Jesus and god.. What god takes 150,000 kids away from there families & sets them in a place where rape, beating & forcing was allowed.. At this point.. I'd rather burn in hell instead of share space with those who wanted to "kill the Indian in the child" I think it was gods choice to do that, as he is supposedly in all our hearts.. Wouldn't you?
