One of my fav ones aswell, Hadiqa is just amazing. Farhad Humayun, the drummer unfortunately passed away two years back. Yes they were religious preachers, scholars, specially for Sufism((a mystic body of religious practice found within Islam which is characterized by a focus on Islamic purification, spirituality, ritualism, asceticism, and esotericism.)
Sir, Greetings from Pakistan. Sir, the pronounciation of the song title and name of the singer was perfectly done. As far as the song is concerned, It's a Masterpiece! Hadiqa Kiani is a superstar here in Pakistan. The lyrics in this part of the World use a lot of metaphors. It is a purely spiritual song. Very nicely summed up by yourself at the end. The words expressed by yourself are so honest and coming from the heart that it touches everyone listening to these. Brilliant reaction as expected. Yourself is so right in identifying the names being mentioned in the song as saints. In fact, they were saints amongs saints. Sir, the song was written in the 13th century by the great Sufi poet "Ameer Khusro" with minor additions in this one. Rung” here refers to the Noor (light, splendour) and grace) of great saints. The story revolves around the experience of Ameer Khusro while at the shrine of the saint. When the poet comes back he tells his mother that the place was so unique that it almost took his breath away. He goes on to say that he has wandered the length and breadth of the country and even foreign lands, but has never been able to come across any place which could give him so much happiness and peace. One night spent at the place coloured him in his colours and the colour is such that it is impossible to remove. The light of grace was so much visible at his own place that he forgot everything else. He now sees that his world has a glow of divine radiance because he has met the person he had always been searching for. Sir, your channel has become part of my life and every week I have to actually wait for your reactions anxiously for every early Sunday morning. It was so beautifully summed up by yourself and that specific mention to the vocals, drumming and quality of music was brilliantly done. I also fully enjoyed the song and your reactions. Everything was fantastic. May God the Almighty bless yourself and this channel with everything. With warm personal regards.
I'm glad that you're getting to the older seasons. Nothing against the recent ones but I grew up with these and Rohail Hyatt's production is goated lol. Way too underrated man. And I miss the OG guitarists/drummers
