I guess I’m one of the few that loves fall and winter and do not like summer. I love the snow, the cloudy dreary days when it rains . I love looking outside nd seeing a foggy day. My dad says I’m crazy. lol.summer is beautiful if I don’t have to go out. I have. Illness that flares up and is painful when the weather is hot and humid. And it’s that in Kentucky during the summer. I admire in a nice. lol house. I love your channel. It’s so peaceful to watch.
Always inspiring me to get busy, with how good you make everything look. Love that you stop and pet the cats. You are such a kind person to regard all of God's creatures.
My husband turned our old electric cat water bowl into a solar one and posted it at the top of my raised bed for the birds haha, so cute he can be sometimes😊😉
✍Hello Mary...I used to love taking care of my flower gardens but with my age (79) and serious health problems I just put potted plants in beautiful planters for the Spring and Summer months💐 I've always loved the look of Holly with its beautiful berries and when my husband was still living we also planted Holly around our yard but after he passed away I was starting to not be able to do all that yard work requires to have a nice looking yard so I had my son-in-law dig them out and gave them to him to plant around their property. I love your kitty 🐾so cute and seeing you pet and love on him while you're working outside. I really admire you and John. You plant flowers, shrubbery, trees, etc not only for yourselves to enjoy but also for the birds etc to enjoy. I live in the Barberton-Norton area of NE Ohio. My oldest daughter (60) used to have a summer place in the country down in Kimbolten and spent every summer for almost 30 years there but we sold it 2 years ago cause taking care and maintaining 2 homes was becoming way too hard for us. I really enjoy your videos and looking forward to your next one. Good Night😴 God Bless LuvYa! Bye from Ohio🌹
Oh,you are amazing, my mom use to lived in Merriville Indiana, she had so many birds feeders, birds baths, always clean like you around feeders, she also adopted street cats,I miss her so much. Have a bless rest of the week.
Mary, it is nice seeing Ohio in the fall. Do miss the smells and colors of the season. Enjoy watching you, it is so peaceful and refreshing. Love your kitty! :)
Mary, your soaps are beautiful! We are big bird people in our home as well. I get a lot of joy from feeding and watching them. Thanks for taking us along! ❤ xo
Thanks Mary. I'm doing the same thing just now. Cutting my hostas, butterfly bushes, hydrangeas, dead heading. Putting my cushions away, storing my patio furniture. I have a nice birdbath, and bird feeders. I just added a new birdhouse. I love my summer flowers and veggie plants. I hate to see them go but fall is pretty too. I don't like the winter months, there to long and cold but we must have that hibernation time. Blessings to all. 😊❤🙏🙏🌻🍁🍂🐈🐈⬛ Pamela/NJ
What a wonderful feeling it is when you get that amount of gardening done... everything is so rewarding when you are finished with your work/time you have spent. (I hope that makes sense) ❤
I love tulips, but where I live in Kentucky, the deer eat all of them. 😢 All I can plant are daffodils. Nothing eats them! You are an inspiration to all of us for your gardens.
I love birds, too. Years ago, we learned that they loved powdered habanero powder on their seed - squirrels hate it, so more for the birds, plus habanero powder kills parasites, so win-win for the birds.... we grow our own peppers - if you do that, next year, make certain you were gloves when you harvest and IF you dehydrate your peppers, don't even think about doing that indoors.... I did that the first time ... the silver lining was that we didn't see any insects indoors for months... the down side was that it took a long time to air out our house.
Your garden looks beautiful even in fall. You are doing everything really well. I worked in landscaping in Sweden for 15 years in the past. I live in Bisbee Arizona now making a living on Etsy. I visit Sweden every year.
I adopted a kitty, Mary. I have a Pomeranian... she is old and not as active. Watching your channel with the cats being a part of the family .... anyway, I adopted a part Siamese & part white/black kitty. She is cute as can be. I named her "Katniss".
Praising God for all seasons, especially seasons of life and His hand of Providence constantly guiding us. You reflect this, Mary. Well done! BTW: I haven't forgotten that "artistic fabric banner" hanging in one of the garages... ❤😃🙏🇺🇲 God blessed America, again.
Mary, your strength and stamina amazes me! You don't need anyone to help with the big stuff either. One thing we do for those vines, after you cut, paint on a layer of weed killer on the stump end.
You remind me of me so much I’ll be 69 tomorrow so it’s not quite as easy now getting it all done but I love it! I have picked up furniture on the side of the road and made it beautiful so many things even built our deck with my husband and a friend! I can go on and on but you give me the get up and go to keep doing it! 😊
Mary, you got alot of stuff done for the winter. Looks so good but like you, I really don't care for winter and the cold. I love, love seeing your cats. They are so pretty and healthy. ❤😊
Yes, I am in East TN, zone 7 and this was the first year they ate the Sunpatiens blooms. In September! Typically they bloom until November. Drought conditions have affected so many.
Loved watching you enjoy your chores in your Fall garden. It was 38 degrees here in Queensland yesterday and it's still Spring. 🥵 Keeping the bird baths full was the only chore I managed. 😄
Love the holly bush! I never saw anyone mow their strawberries before. We usually cover with straw, and that’s it. I’m enjoying watching everything you do.
Mary, I wish I had your energy. You and John and the boys and your neice keep that place beautiful, and it shows in your videos and the products you sell with so much love and care taken to prepare each one. I love your fall cleanup and fall planting. That Holly Berry will get very big. It will be nice in arrangements, wreaths and garlands. Best wishes to you all. Thanks for inspiring me.❤
I watch you and think…hmmm all those videos that do free yard clean up, bless their souls, I often see able bodied men just watch these men clean their yards and you, little biddy you is out there keeping your property clean and beautiful. You are so inspiring ❤
Sweet precious lady, whew, please, please be extra careful with that new trimmer. A bit over a year ago, I was trimming shrubs for my mother in law and in a split second I accidentally stuck my hand into the blades and nearly cut my index finger off. Four and half hour surgery, weeks and weeks of physical therapy later, I can somewhat feel my crooked finger. I bought a new trimmer that will only run if BOTH hands are in the correct, safe position. I truly enjoy your inspiring videos and hope to come visit there soon. Stay safe and keep up the wonderful work!
Wisteria makes a beautiful wreath!!! I have a friend that had a wisteria vine growing along her back fence where she used to live; she would call me every year when it was time to prune it and I would take the vines home and make wreaths; I love to use honeysuckle too it has peeling bark and that is probably my favorite; they are all very pliable and can be woven into wreaths very easily, just like they do with grapevines. I don't just wind them around in a circle like the ones you get at the stores, I weave mine in and out with pieces of the vines; when I add the next piece I weave it in the opposite direction. If any of the vines start to dry out and aren't pliable enough you can place them on a tube of water and that usually does the trip.
Autumn yard chores are satisfying, altho taxing. I envy your large wooded area in which to dispose of yard waste from seasonal trimming etc. That is a huge challenge for many gardeners. I need to look for a rechargeable trimmer....thanks for the tip re choosing one that doesn't add to arm fatigue!! I just got my gardens ready for winter so watching you was fun, especially since you seem to be having a warm fall as we've had in central VT ! Now we can dream about Spring ❤
You are such a busy lady and inspire me. Living in Western Australia I have never had to prepare gardens for winter. it get down to 3 or 4 C which we really feel. I have never seen snow!
You’ve inspired me Mary yet again. I’ve got to get out in my yard and trim all my shrubs and grasses. Thank you. It’s the push I needed. Have a great week.
Thank you for the inspiration. I am having trouble getting started on winter progress and your videos really get me inspired so thank you for always doing that. We are getting colder weather and I have bulbs to get up and lots to trim back but just keep putting it off. I best get busy, so thank you for sharing this today.........I love your yard and your buy at the nursery was fabulous! I love those. That would be my choice as well. So beautiful. Blessings for a beautiful weekend and a new week!
"We" got a lot done! My cleanup is mainly leaves and pine straw(needles) so it stays down until too much for the grass. I love to rake and the results but sometimes I get a grabbing feeling in my back so it takes me much longer, having to take breaks. Grateful not to have rocks. We have lots of acorns so not sure if that means a hard Winter ahead. Enjoy all your blessings and thanks for sharing.
Mary I always enjoy watching you enjoying your property. Here in the middle of Nebraska I am trying to hang onto my geraniums. How did your geraniums do (the ones you put into paper sacks last winter)? I may want to try that on mine this year. We had a glorious fall with beautiful colors. Take care and God Bless America!!!!!!!!!
When cleaning up my gardens I don’t cut back the hostas. I wait until after the first frost or two when they practically melt away. Then just a little raking does the trick. Less work!
You always inspire me Mary! I love the idea of adding more lanterns. I bought a couple of solar lanterns from Amazon I love and will get a couple more. Love seeing Twinkle and and your grey tabby (sorry, I forgot its name).
Wow you are so inspiring and do such beautiful work, I do understand getting ready for winter and I need to go and trim all of my perrenials for winter and clean my flower beds up. thanks for all of the great ideas and helpful suggestions, have a beautiful and blessed day, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂🥰😍💜💜💜💜

I like winter and Fall as well !
I’m the same.
Me too. If it gets above 65 it's too warm for me.
I’m with you. I do not like summer at all! I love fall and winter.
Mee too!! I l9ve fall and winter
Always inspiring me to get busy, with how good you make everything look. Love that you stop and pet the cats. You are such a kind person to regard all of God's creatures.
Mary, you have the very best work ethic of any one I’ve ever known. You really inspire me.
Amen
Your cat is like the supervisor or quality control. He watches everything 😊
I never thought I could relax so easily watching someone work so hard. Thanks for sharing, Mary, you are a gem.
My husband turned our old electric cat water bowl into a solar one and posted it at the top of my raised bed for the birds haha, so cute he can be sometimes😊😉
As I’m sitting here watching you with some tea, I’m making a list of things to winterize my gardens. Boy, I’m tired already…slow down girl!! 💕

I have deer, too; they don’t eat alliums. Maybe you’d like to try growing them?
@ I have…the deer ate those too. Kentucky deer must not have heard they’re not supposed to like them. 🤷♀️
@@rosemeyer5764 dang! Maybe my deer didn’t notice them in with the rosemary? Critters!
What a day! Better watch the wisteria you took into the trees. The live portions of the vines will root into your trees and take them over.
The yard looks so beautiful. All the trees, the flower beds are so neat and clean. Enjoyed this video, always look forward to Wed. Thank you

Lots of work but come spring it’ll be worth it. I’m counting already how long till spring. I love spring and summer ❤
I love to see you pay attention to your cats in your videos and take the time to give them a pet or two. Blessings!

Always look forward to your videos Mary! So relaxing and motivating at the same time!🍁🍂
I love fall and winter.
Hate the gray days of winter but look forward to spring. Love the colors of fall.
First year ever the deer trimmed my hostas and a few other plants for me. I beleive it iwas because of the drought.
Yes, I am in East TN, zone 7 and this was the first year they ate the Sunpatiens blooms. In September! Typically they bloom until November. Drought conditions have affected so many.
Love every season, glad to have another on this glorious earth. So enjoy your videos, thankyou so much. Watching here in the shetland isles.
Known for Shetland ponies, Shetland collies, fair isle knitwear and latterly north sea oil.
You are really a working lady. Love that you do alot for yourself and do not have to depend on John. I am kinda that way too. I love working outside.
Great atmosphere, fresh and peaceful. Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos.

You did inspire me! Thank you! Also our weather in Michigan is perfect, I have been outside for many days, it is very hard for me to stay inside!
Save the marigold flowers , dry them and save the seeds for next year. I have a black and decker hand held trimmer. Perfect weight for a woman

Perhaps my fav example of the Proverbs 31 Woman! ❤
I just enjoy watching your videos, thank you and Gods blessings
What a beautiful day to work in a stunning garden. Looks like you must have worked up a sweat. Well done.
Great advice for the birds. I’ll implement some of your ideas for my yard.

I need a nap just watching you😊 I wish I could have been there to get some of those hydrangeas 😢
Loved watching you do yard work - I need to plant my tulip bulbs, too! Wednesday is always a special day for me because of your videos!!
Hydrangeas make for very pretty indoor fall arrangements and can last from year to year, IMHO.
The dried flowers also look pretty in your Christmas tree.
I’m so glad you put in the picked fence, its looks like it really belongs there. Wonderful yard!!
Thank you for such a peaceful video! Learned a lot about winterizing my backyard! Hope to one day visit the beautiful area where you live. ❤️
That was good that you removed the Burning Bush as they are considered invasive!
Looks like you're ready for winter. The bird feeder looks great. Thank you so much for sharing.
I moved to Florida and miss the autumn leaves. Love your videos
never thought about mowing strawberries to Winter them over - brilliant!
I love snow I’m from Missouri born and raised but then I need light that is when I go tan❤..great work Mary like always
Wow,that was a lot off work. God bless you and your family.

Such great inspiration! Didn't know to trim my hostas down!❤❤❤❤❤
Wow Mary the autumn trees are super beautiful around the house❤❤❤
Big lilacs. Always loved them. Was told by my former boss to wait until lilacs blooms before you plant.(northeast OHIO)
Me encantan las plantas 🍂
I leave most of my plants for birds and wildlife to scavenger hunt in the winter.
Thank you for being you. Your videos are inspiring!💜🩷🧡
Another wonderful video! Thank you Mary and John❤
When cleaning up my gardens I don’t cut back the hostas. I wait until after the first frost or two when they practically melt away. Then just a little raking does the trick. Less work!
YES ! I figured that out last year, finally, and it made all the difference.
YES !!! I finally figured that out last year and it made all the difference.
Thanks for the tour! I love coming down to that area. I have never seen the Barn Sale (?) On rt39, but i will find it and have fun shopping! 😊
You always inspire me Mary! I love the idea of adding more lanterns. I bought a couple of solar lanterns from Amazon I love and will get a couple more. Love seeing Twinkle and and your grey tabby (sorry, I forgot its name).
I’m doing a lot of cleanup in my yard as well. I just bought a little 10 inch battery powered chainsaw and I love it.
Great ideas as always. You've inspired me to get busy cleaning up my own gardens. The music you used in this video is so relaxing. 😊
Love the bird house.
