Looking For The African Community In Karachi Is It Safe
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- This is my last video about Pakistan today i went to an area in Karachi called LYARI .
the reason why i came to this area its cause this is where you find the forgotten African Community called sheedi .
who are the sheedis or called the Baloch people they are African descent who came from Africa They are primarily descended from the Bantu peoples of east Africa, who were merchants, sailors, indentured servants, slaves and mercenaries.
Although community members no longer have any direct contact with Africa, they still retain some African cultural traits. For instance, at festivals they play a tall drum, the mugarman, and dance the leva, both believed to be of East African origin. The elders still speak some words of the African languages spoken by their ancestors. However, these are continuously under attack from mainstream culture and are at risk of dying out.
Sheedis face widespread discrimination in Pakistan from other community groups due to their appearance and the colour of their skin, especially in social matters such as marriage - the only other social group to intermarry with Sheedis are the low-caste fisherfolk clan - as well as in the workplace. Women, in particular, often encounter discrimination in livelihood opportunities and are badly paid by their employers.

There are a million strong sheedi community in Pakistan .Almost all in makran coast of Baluchistan and in Karachi mainly liyari area.
Sheedis are African origin from the Swahili coast of Africa, came to makran coast and sindh of Pakistan during 16 to 18 th centuries as workers and slaves of Arabs, some as laborers.
Now they speak balochi, sindi languages and Urdu. They are Muslims with some African preislamic rituals.
Their main shrine is mangopir in Karachi, where they have hundreds of holy crocodiles.
Sheedis are patriotic Pakistanis and devout Muslim ,they are excellent boxers, musicians, rappers and football players. They mainly work in fishing industry and service sector. They very strong physically.
Sheedis very much loved in Pakistan and in Karachi they are very numerous in some localities, there are mixed marriages now with other Muslims and their children are more mixed

The African people you met in Liyari, Karachi in Pakistan came from originally from the East African area of Zanzibar, Tanzania and Kenya.
Bumbasa Street the name derives from Mombasa which is a city in the coastal area of Kenya previous it was known in Arabic as Min Al Bas.
Pakistan is one diverse melting pot of people with different ethnicities, languages, food, culture, music, arts. One thing that unites everyone though is the warmth and kindness they show to their guests.

Greet the whole world not just muslims.
@@333halfangel3 mashallah that so true blessings is the key words
HERE IS THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION THAT EVEN THE MOST LUCRATIVE PERSON CAN'T BUY: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here's a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, ”Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” if you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called H***. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God's law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: ”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you!
@@333halfangel3
Usually I find if you greet non muslim, you get a bad look like your a weirdo or a smart remark specially if white....like what you smiling at look, so I usually get a salam to muslims or a smile back. Muslims are generally more warmer and less cold.
Like my mum told me a funny story. When she first moved to uk. She said salam or hello to a white woman, the white women responded "F**** you". My mum thought she was saying hello back.
So another woman passed by as she was walking...so she decided to say "F**** you" to woman assuming it meant hello. The blond woman naturally got mad, and jumped her and they had a fight lol, good times.

Being a Pakistani, I find your comment very offensive. Color of your skin does not determine your living conditions in Pakistan. Some of the poorest regions in Pakistan have people with lightest of the skin color. We are a muslim majority country and this is what we believe in 👉“OH people, your Lord is One! Know that there is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab or of a non-Arab over an Arab, or of a white over a black or of a black over a white, except through devotion to Allah,” said Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Pakistan is a very very racially diverse country. You'll find the fairest to the darkest colored people here and all sorts of racial ancestry. But alhamdulillah there is no racism in Pakistan. We are all equally Pakistanis. Also, the coastal regions of Pakistan has most people of African and Arab ancestry, because the coast of Pakistan is very close to the Gulf and Africa. Hence, the migration of these races to Pakistan makes sense
I loved seeing the little kids giggling and laughing among themselves. I had loads of smiles on my face. God bless their innocent sweet souls.
