    Wild is an understatement! JK is the baby of the group. Some people have been watching him since before BTS debuted. He was 15 when they debuted, but they were putting out videos before that. He was 14-15 when people started watching this cute little doe-eyed, shy boy. Those of us who discovered them later still got to see him at a young age by watching old videos. In some ways we shouldn’t be shocked. He’s the one with the sleeve, pierced eyebrow, lips and ears, muscled up… I just love him. I’m old enough to be his grandmother (literally- I have a grandson 16 days younger than JK) so I don’t see him as younger females do, but I’m loving seeing him get to be free to show the world another side of him that he wants them to see. I absolutely love the song. Knew it was going to be an instant hit the moment I heard it. 💜

    How he managed to make it explicitly sexual but not crude I don’t know it’s magic. And he wrecked the fandom so much we are helpless to do anything but stream for our lives. 😂😂. This one is an intensely catchy song.

    For context, Jungkook was 13 when he signed as a trainee, and they debuted when he was 15, so yeah...Jungkook was literally a young boy at debut. His nickname is Kookie, and bunny, and yes, ARMY's do call him their baby, because he is the Maknae (youngest) of the group. The members also treat him as the youngest brother, baby of the group. I really think Jungkook is making a statement for his debut. He's saying I'm a grown ass man now. He's 25 years old, and going to be serving in the military soon. All seven will be serving. Jin and J-Hope are already enlisted. JIN is the oldest of the group at age 30.

      You said it soooo right. I am a conservative person, but I like this side of JK; it's just an art, he is an artist, and let's face it, we cannot stop the boys from growing up to maturity, it's a phase of life, so I am embracing this, whether it be the clean or explicit version...it's a lively music, and the MV and performance, it's artistic - hats off to JK 💜👍

      Idol worship is not my thing! I empathized and sympathized with BTS beginning in 2015 because they were treated so, so, badly by certain people in the world. They were even ostracized by their own Korean people. They were called, ugly, gay, talentless, homeless, Asian fuck boys, you name it! With the help of ARMY (back then), they came through those dark times and soared.
      NOW, to be used by these latent/secret "ANTI" trolls? Just because they are now rich and popular? How does one say No to a powerful white music mogul? Don't know!
      Message: Be careful of what you wish for!

    Yes, BTS is different. They never really fit into the K-pop restrictions. They got into a lot of trouble, especially RM, with their earlier songs for being misogynistic. They were forced to tone it down.

    • @8wy51
      @8wy51 Рік тому +2

      I think RM learned from this mistake. He said he gets his lyrics checked before releasing his songs.
      Has JK forgotten this? Why did he allow himself to be manipulate him doing this "HARDCORE" version? tsk, tsk, tsk,
      Too great of an artist to be "trifled" with! Money, money, money, money, money, money.....................

      @@8wy51 LOL. JK is a 25 year old grown man, if he wants to sing about f--cking a girl he has every right to, it's not a bad thing (if that's what the girl wants). As a grown woman myself all the misogyny bs thrown at BTS was unwarranted. The first time I listened to War of Hormone I had to ask others fans what the issue was because I didn't see anything wrong with the lyrics. Maybe I'm just desensitized because I hear songs a lot worse here in the US. It really seems like any time BTS sing about a girl instead of ARMY in a more personal way it triggers some fans. Also there is a clean version so if the explicit version is too much for some people you can always listen to that one instead, but most fans (and non fans) are loving the explicit version.

    • @BrilliantHuman
      @BrilliantHuman Рік тому

      BTS/RM may have been accused of misogynistic lyrics and apologized, but the lyrics to War of Hormones were not misogynistic in anyway. There's a couple things going on, but the biggest thing is that the lyrics themselves were really poorly translated. There's a Korean reactor who's been reacting to Rise of Bangtan and explained it throughly (and I've heard this from other sources as well) . "Problematic" wording such as, "women are math and men just do 'em" isn't what was actually being sung in Korean. Instead it should have been "solve" them as in trying to figure out the other sex, which doesn't have anything to do with sex at all, and it's not hateful towards women either. Isn't that always the biggest struggle between people, we're always trying to figure out what makes the other person tick so to speak. There is also lines about liking their front and back, which in English can have a sexual meaning, implying T&A but in Korean it doesn't imply the same thing. The real meaning is more like, 'I love everything about you' front to back, head to toe. The tone of the song is tongue in cheek and is, more than anything, making fun of themselves as young hormonal men. The song came out in 2014, but wasn't made into a scandal until another artist was being accused of misogyny in 2015, so BTS were essentially scapegoated. This same reactor I mentioned said that at the time the gp were even confused about why BTS was receiving such backlash. So they may have "learned" their lesson, but they never actually did the things they were accused of. Even in Boy in Luv MV, while to western standards it feels uncomfortable to watch, was actually reenacting K-dramas at the time and within a cultural context was completely within the realm of what was/is accepted in Korea.

      On his recent Spotify video he said he doesn't really write lyrics and he's happy to take songs that are given to him. Don't get me wrong I understand why people want him to write songs but it's also not a terrible thing to just sing a song given to him if that's the music he wants to sing. I've been hearing JK's album will be fully English and if that's true there's a chance he didn't write anything on the album.

      He doesn't have to write his own songs just because his hyungs do. He is a SINGER. And he is not that interested in writing songs although he already wrote some of his. He is more into writing melodies and being a perfect singer and interpreter. Not writing everything he sings do not take anything from his incredible talent. On offense to Latto, it's her usual western style of work. I bet JK did not even know her work. He should begin to understand that, if not careful, he will be eaten alive. If he was not popular and rich, he would not have the "time of day" with these people. He is Asian, remember. I think the first time I heard JK say the f word in a song was in the remix for Savage Love. But you're right BTS have been cursing in their songs for a long time especially the rap line. People need to remember all the members of BTS are grown adults who shouldn't have to censor their artistry if that's how they want to express themselves. And if people can't handle it, well then the clean version is for them.

    RM did say that as they got busier as a group, it was getting harder to work on his solo project. But now he has time due to their hiatus as a group.
    I think the way they're handling their military service is brilliant. Enlisting one by one while working on solo work in the meantime. Bang Shi-hyuk mentioned that they already planned this since 2018, making this moment a turning point in their career. And what a turning point it is. They're all putting out amazing music.
    Btw, Suga at one point was writing almost one song per day. He did it simply because he had nothing else to do, so he might as well write some songs. He told this to RM. Really, watching them have a conversation is fascinating.
    I used to watch a lot of fan compilations when I first got into BTS, and it's a nice way to get to know them, but nowadays I really prefer their original content and interviews. Suga's talkshow Suchwita in particular provides such warm and insightful conversations, especially the episodes with the members.
    The latest episode with J-hope as the guest will premiere tomorrow Wednesday, on 10.00pm KST.

      F*******k may be used when angry, etc.
      F*******k (i.e.coitus/sexual intercourse in this way is crude. JK is singing the lyricist words (is he an Anti or is he a MONEY-HUNGRY troll? mmpphh)
      Western women fall prey to this all the time, hence no response, perhaps apathetic? BUT when an Asian "wannabe" fuck-boy blare this drivel, the opportunistic fans are jumping-up gleefully! (content money to be made on youtube Yea!). Not hating! Life is hard! I know! However, the ones spending the dollars while supporting BTS since 2012 are feebly supporting him. Come on! tell your boy that if he continues on this path NO MONEY will be spent on crude material. Excellent Music reaps great reward!
