In the US we use the words "up and down". Like in "buckle up." Up means the opposite of down. My Chilean girlfriend brought this to my attention. Americans throw in "up and down" when they have no connection to what is actually happening. Here is a greeting good friends would say to each other "What's up home slice?" If you ask someone if they want to go to the movies you would say "Are you up for that?" their reply would be "I'm down with that." which mean they want to go to the movie, because, you know they are up for it, and they are they down for it. I am in Denmark and I just point at stuff and give them kroner and I get a yummy kanelsnegle.

Hahaha thanks for your comment. It’s funny that there are so many expressions with up and down. You can also be down with something in Danish: jeg er nede med det (listen to the song Nede Mette)
