JR West would eventually have to replace the existing older model trains with the latest tech trains nowadays as finding replacement parts are and repairs for those old trains are probably hard to find and becoming pretty hard to repair and maintain them overtime. I can see why trains in Okayama are replacing old trains nowadays.

It just isn't the same running the new 227 Series train set compared to the old 113 or 115 Series train sets.
