Did you guys ever get your hands on the Las Vegas Boulevard expansion for the original Las Vegas?

I think I prefer the original version of Las Vegas over the Royale version. The Royale version seems to complicate the simplicity and mechanics of the game that was great as it was.

For the "bad luck" variant, what happens if you don't have $50,000 to hand back and only have $40,000 or less? Do you write down on a piece of paper how much you still owe to satisfy the $50,000? Would you then pay it back the next round even if "bad luck" isn't in play?

Did you ever create the token system to determine which ones to use?

'The Biggies' seems to be the only module from the Boulevard expansion of the original version that survived the makeover. This version turns the game on its head, and with that said too far, in my opinion. There were some forgettable modules in Boulevard, like the action cards that took the balance out of the game, and the alternative game for 2 to 4 players, but I liked the Kicker module, which improves the Biggies module when combined with it, the ?-Banknote module as an element of surprise, and the Slot Machine module. I was also glad to be able of playing it solo. The kind of setup the basic board in this new version creates is nice and maybe more practical as well, but I don't like the artwork at all. Not only do the old boards look much nicer and classic, they are also much better distinguishable. The colors really differentiate them. This version forces me to focus on the values on the casinos much more, while my mind should be more with the game itself. The only real improvement I see here are the dice tray and the player dice (not the other dice, though). My dice have escaped off the table a lot of times with the old version. And what's with the age rating? 8 and up? If the old version was already 8 and up, then this must be 10 and up. I'm sorry, but from the looks of it and the quality of the box, on which I heard it's bigger, but also flimsier and therefor a downgrade, I can't recommend this one at least not over the old version combined with the Boulevard expansion. By the way, that expansion did add the $100,000 and '?' banknotes (with a little printing error; the value side has been printed upside down, but that doesn't affect the game).

How do you like the game at 2 players? I believe the old version had a different variant for 2 players.

We think the game is fine at 2. But the more players you have tightens the board, making competition for specific casinos or action boards more interesting.

"Sad Panda" is a South Park reference, from the "Sexual Harassment Panda" episode.

Just watched to the 3 minute mark. I really wanted to see the game played by the suggested rules. Since the game is now stacked with bigger payouts at the higher numbers, putting the bonus boards on the first 3 casinos would seem to balance that out. Was excited to watch this but not a fan of variants before learning how the game plays with the rules as written.
