  • If you've been lucky enough to swing a leg over a latest generation Yamaha WR250F, you'll know how much of a great bike they are. But it's still an ADR approved trail bike, so there's always room for improvement!
We called on an old mate (who happens to be an ex-pro racer) by the name of Scott Keegan, to get his tips and tricks on how to customise a WR250F for Aussie racing 🤘🏼.

What is the mapping you are running with the mods?

Can you run the two standard maps (all zero's) in combination with the akrapovic muffler and intake kit or is it advice to change the mappings to a richer map?

I have a 23'...Anyone have any issues with the front end wants to fall out from under you on fine gravel? Bike is stock, i have the clickers set a few clicks to the soft but nothing major. Awesome bike except on a loose gravel or fine gravel road, then it turns drifty and unstable!

Check the correct springs are in it for your weight. I had the same; it was too stiff so I put lighter springs in and sorted. Same for shock.

Yha I’ve got the 23 also and I’ve noticed the same but I think it got to do with our tire air pressure on the gravel roads
