Quick tip. If you need relievers, you can switch starters to relievers. I usually do it if a starter has less than 70 stamina
Also if you draft a pitcher who has lower potential, like 70s or high 60s you can move them to reliever. They will drop overalls, but they will keep all their stats and will be able to develop a lot more.
Unsigned rookies could potentially come back in later draft classes
Yeah I had that happen actually someone I drafted refused to sign and then they showed up in the next draft class
big tip: generational players will have an EXACT difference of 5 between their vision and plate discipline ratings in the scouting screen
This^ and they will be 18 Y/O with 99 top range potential. USUALLY their minimum overall is about 70 as well.
Can you see this when you are scouting a player? Is the difference in their current or potential stats?
@fiendfranchise has an really good scouting video detailing those aspects. Worth looking at for anyone hoping to improve their scouting process.

When the players are unknown I'd write their names down somewhere bc they often are in next years draft so you have a bit of insight into them already
drafting a bust is the first realistic things thats happened in this series i thought that wasnt allowed
The reason why we see the numbers all jacked up is if the team has a player with a higher overall who has the same number. Typically a FA signing or trade

Bengal you can set the training for the players each season. So if you have a pitcher who’s weakness is their per 9 ratings, you can set it to train that every season.

I don't have the game, but basing it off of previous years, when drafties go unsigned they become free agents. You have to look for them on the first day of free agency.
Btw I always try to draft best overall not really focused much on potencial

Fernando Morales could potentially be a decent second baseman, so I'd say work on his hitting. Once that's in a good place, go ahead and work on the fielding to get it a tad better and you'll be in a good place
Unsigned players will show up in future classes. I think high schoolers take 3 years. I'm not sure about older guys since I never draft them.

The training aspect of the game might be the key to help prospects like half season one thing half season other thing to help progress

At the end of the irl year you should simulate a long way to see how good they would be in the future and just have the CPU take over
The positive thing is unlike madden with its age of regression being 28, you got guys like Zack grenkie and wainwright who pitch to their 40s so hopefully the older players can still be an impact
The show should bring the options like mvp head when you hit someone once or twice then dugouts are warned , especially versus rival teams and can charge the mound and get tossed out the game and suspended etc. would be so cool to this game
if you hit them multiple times, you do get thrown out, and they show the other teams dugout complaining
you should change the prospects batting stances and pitching forms. maybe gear to make them look better!

Check depth chart for prospects down the line projected overall and also just the royals top prospects and they give you ETA

I have Duran leading off and they always have him bat 8th for absolutely zero reason. It's absolutely ridiculous whenever I go into moments and the top of my lineup is fucked up because SDS is incompetent.
My draft classes so far have been very uninspiring, especially when trying to find position players. I’ve found like 3 good ones in like 8 classes

I drafted an 88 overall 18 year old 3rd baseman with 99 potential a few weeks ago. They don’t come every year but the generational guys do exist.
