Your a good dad. I love watching your videos on both channels I have a step 13 year old boy & a 3 month old girl of my own love the content keep pushing stay blessed brotha
Use bearing grease, push into hole, press in alignment tool, keep filling with grease, it will force bearing out. Takes time, patience and is messy but hydraulic magic works.
@@3BBgarage Grease is 1 method, another is wet toilet tissue and a backwards socket and extension and lightly tap it into the center as the bearing comes out. Find a 3/8 socket that just fits into the hole and put the extension into the front side so the part in the hole is flat, just tap it in without penning over the end of the extension. I like the T-paper because it's less messy than grease. They also make a tool for removal that fits on the end of a slide hammer, but if you don't do clutches every day it's not worth the price to buy one. Remember when re-installing the flywheel it has an odd pattern to keep it in balance. you may have to spin it to line up all the holes and make sure you torque it properly, don't want it coming lose and making knocking noises. GM's are funny about starter alignment get a 1/8 inch welding rod and bend a 90* section on the end about 1" long. slide it between the shaft in the starter and the teeth on the flywheel. If it's loose add a thinner shim if it's too tight add a thicker shim. Too tight starter may bind up and not engage, too lose starter may make noises and chew up teeth. I hope you didn't get too heavy of a clutch combination, you might end up with charlie horses in your left leg if you installed too heavy of a racing clutch for everyday driving. Being a trucker you should be familiar with Wareheim Air Brakes Inc. They can rebuild your old clutches for a lot less than a new one and also do car clutches.
This might sound crazy but you can press the pilot bearing out with wet toilet paper, just keep pushing it in wetting it as you feed it into the hole, it will come out. Grease is so messy. Secondly, when you get the hydraulic throw out bearing follow the instructions to set the depth correctly … very important. I appreciate all your channels Justin!
GREAT VIDEO. He looked in awe of all that steel in the machine shop. He would LOVE the drone shows. You might have an engineer right there. I love his enthusiasm and honest answers. Comes from good GENES..
Justin, be aware that the full "puck" clutch will be very aggressive. The proper release bearing setup and your ability to "gently" break in the clutch will be paramount.😮
Thanks for the shout outs brother and glad I could be of help , wish I was around to be even more part of that awesome project 😊, but I got boat fever and bought another little fishing boat just today😂, hopefully I can start transporting them back to SC soon and I'll be back for Christmas
@@3BBgarage about that idle issue, if that friend of yours who rebuilt the carbs can change the base plate on the front carb with one that has a choke step-up cam on the throttle valve and install top butterfly valves you can have a choke system.
When you consider how badly the engine and clutch have been flogged I believe it would be prudent to change the fluid and examine the internals of the transmission and differential. Check the u joints on both ends of the drive shaft and for a worn sliding yoke. If the clutch is hydraulically actuated be prepared to rebuild or replace the slave and master cylinders.
I have two drones, never flew them yet. I have a fear of crashing them. LOL And here's your youngest flying like a pro. I was hoping to catch a few pointers when I saw you last. I had the drone with us but time wasn't working out.
@@3BBgarage you as well. I am going on vacation this weekend for two weeks. I have a couple of projects to work on. One is a Caddy and the other is a Buick.
In most cases flying a recreational drone as long as it is recreational is permitted in most places as long as there is no Restricted Air space. you may want to get a 107 licenses for things like selling you drone footage.
Fill the hole with grease, Vaseline, wax, chapstick, creamy penut butter, just keep filling pushing stuff in the hole and it should push the bearing right out.
That car must have cost a fortune to fix , Was it worth it ?. I think the guy should give you some money back ! At the back of the house is that what you 15:56 called a lawn ? In the 🇺🇸 😅😊. Only joking
You’ll not like that stage 4 for street driving, you should of used a stage 3, a stage 4 grabs instantly with no play at the bottom of the clutch pedal, I run a stage 3 and it’s more than enough
He is going to find out quick thats not the disc to use. Yikes. Especially on a blower show street car.. first cars and coffee it will be tow truck time.
Your going to be surely sorry you put that clutch disc in. Thats for racing only… you’ll have the burnt up in no time at all. Its only for in or out clutch engagement. Who told you to use that is not very smart. If you go thru getting the bronze pilot out( which if not worn you leave alone) I have done hundreds of these small blocks. That sure doesn’t look like the pilot bearing. Too big Read up on how to adjust the hydraulic thru out bearing. Not just a bolt in.Shims and sometimes some machine work for thru out bearing
You are going to despise that button clutch with the setup you have in that car! Some things are worth what you pay for them, and a clutch/pressure plate or one of them. That clutch will gone after the 3rd or 4th time you flog it if that engine has any guts to it at all.
I dunno why ya would put an eBay clutch on a car like that. eBay parts are cheap because they are cheap. Good luck fella I had to learn the lesson myself
I watch ur trucking channel and this one too. U building a very nices hot rod

Alternate your bolt tightening when installing clutch.
You can use bread to get your Bearing out the back of the motor
Use bread keep stuffing the hole and it will pop out.
He did so good flying the Drone
Love the hair cut!! Little badass right there!!!
I love it!
starter motor has a solenoid attached to a bendix, which is the small gear, that engages with the flywheel to turn the motor over
Love the 3bb channel good luck with the Iroc
Glad 2 see the upgrades on the I-Roc
Awesome video Justin
Nice getting the pressure plate to match the color of the car!!!
lol 😂

I used a slice of bread. A lot less messy than grease. Lots of videos on UA-cam on how to do this. It’s easy

What kind of Bell housing do you have you want a heavy duty one back in the day we called them scatter shield
Fill the hole with grease, Vaseline, wax, chapstick, creamy penut butter, just keep filling pushing stuff in the hole and it should push the bearing right out.

So far we’re into it about $2000 in repairs it’s not on lawn it’s called a race track for my son’s dirt bikes and ATVs lol
Hey what’s up bro and nephews how y’all doing much love
Not much but Much love CHRIS ♥️🙏🏽

Yea I've spent $500+ on just s pressure plate and that was in the early 1990's. Same design with spring fingers.
Car is nothing but a money pit
Blowers need to go. Sad.
Get you a loaf of bread to get that pilot bearing out you shove pieces of bread into the little hole and it will force the bearing out
Thank you 🙏🏽
