@@danielparra5173 they are essentially bump helmets. Great for moderate blunt force and blades would likely glance off them, but not bullet proof. We also carry a ballistic harness for their torso, but not in headgear.
I can’t convince Dark Systems to send me product. Helpful communication until they have your money, then suddenly they ignore you from there on out. I’ve talked to other customers in same situation. They were acting super sketchy. I’ve offered to pay double and no progress.
Their customer service was not great, but I attributed that to their being a small company. It did take me a while to get my helmet and they did not send the color I ordered. I don’t know if they are sketchy, I think they are just small and overwhelmed. Likely single orders from us are not priority.
Don't buy it. Took months to get mine, they lied on the customs forms, and didn't include the items they said they would. They swapped from Peltor to Walkers without telling anyone and claimed they were the same thing. PayPal dispute pending.

Motorsport helmets have different construction - for example, human motorcycle helmets vs rock climbing helmets. The main purpose of a dog helmet is convenient mounting eye & ear protection as well as useful electronic devices. Protection from bumps and cuts is a bonus feature.
The Recspecs are pretty solid. You can make the straps tighter or more loose. I would start slightly more loose to acclimate the dog, but tighten them up for actual use.

I do plan to do more with the Helmets and film it. Protection is primary. We are working on a 3D printed attachment for active hearing protection for K9 Helm, which means they have hearing protection with the ability to hear at normal volume and recieve radio input. Could be very useful for off lead searches and avalanche detection. Additionally, with MOHOC, you can real-time stream to a device and they have an extender that gives you about 1/2 mile. That combined with radio comms could be a game changer.
They are real, but their customer service sucks and they sent me the wrong color helmet. Still haven’t made it right. Overall, DO NOT recommend Dark Systems.

Are the helmets stab or low caliber bullet resistant? Does it resists kicks or punches?

@@FortressK9 Thanks for answering. Protection for hits and strikes and cuts is awesome. I think this will help the dog take a criminal more easily.

I'm here trying to find head protection for a dog on a motorcycle. Any of these hold up at least for a first impact

How active could a dog be with the rex spec pros without them sliding? I’m looking at them for my sound sensitive flyball dog…
