Meryl probably felt a little uncomfortable being that they had a lot of chemistry and won the mirrorball together. Maks also said that he would marry her. Notice that she was hidden when he was talking to Peta anyway i am happy for them and i think that they that are a great couple

Oh please Meryl had been with her, now husband, Fedor since well before she was on DWTS. People thought she and Charlie were an item. She knows how to sell the performance.
No mine was quite memorable. Thank you. Maybe that is the problem, mine had more substance and by comparison this seems very weak.
I am just watching this 4 years later but must make a comment. Maks and Meryl??? I wonder how much attention many of the people commenting here really paid much attention to the shows that year. You sure were not very analytical when it comes to the observance of the interactions between the two of them. Maks was the only one in love. Meryl already had a lover and had no intention of changing that. While she was single (boyfriend or not) she was always one of the biggest flirts out there. She was having a lot of fun flirting with Maks and watching what it was doing to him. That was the extent of their relationship.

I am sorry taking a proposal on to an end of the show like that just doesn't seem right. That proposal lacked the emotion that I would expect from someone who knew with every fiber of their being that they wanted to build a life with someone. Wow!
That is possibly because, you haven't lived! You cannot exclude your career accomplishments from your life, unless you suck at it!
Andrew Sinclair Marriage is a life altering event and I think a proposal should have its own space and not just be a bit tacked on at the end.
They should definitely have their own personal space for this; however, they are in the public eye. They will be scrutinised by conventional and alternative media, whether they consent to this or not. Being in command of your own moment, around your best audience, just makes sense.
I would be more concerned about couples who have unplanned children, no idea of what they are in for whatsoever, than Macks being poorly experienced in relationships. I am the product of just such a couple. The breakdown was scary, to say the least.
This was a special place for both of them, and she seems like the type of person who would love the public declaration. Maks probably didn't rehearse this which is why it ended up turning out like this. It was special for them and their family that's all that matters.

AAD ..you cant doll..this was a live concert i attendef in florida and they did not permit cameras or videotaping but i was able to take out my cell phone at very end of show snd record his proposal and thank goodness i did...it was a great show though.
