Bears INJURY UPDATE: Allen BACK, Wright OUT + ROSTER MOVES @ Offensive Line. Bears News & Updates

- The Chicago Bears latest Injury Report shows Keenan Allen IS LIKELY TO PLAY this upcoming Sunday against the LA Rams after missing the last two weeks with a heel/personal matter.
The 6x Pro-Bowler was limited at practice on Wednesday at Halas Hall according to head coach Matt Eberflus. The team is hopeful to have their veteran WR back against Matthew Stafford and the Rams. A WR room of DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, and Keenan Allen would be ideal as the Bears are in an early "must win" game during Week 4 at Soldier Field.
Matt Eberflus did announce though that starting right tackle Darnell Wright is day-to-day with a back injury and he did not practice today. This is a big concern for an already struggling offensive line, but in reality, it may be a good thing as Wright has played poorly and this could be due to an injury he hasn't announced.
EDGE Darrell Taylor (illness) and S Terrell Smith (Hip) also did not practice today, but are hopeful to return before the Rams game.
A Rams team that has the worst offensive line in the NFL, along with missing Cooper Kupp, Puka Macua, and more are also having a tough time with injuries.

Like this video if you're happy to hear that Keenan Allen is BACK at practice, along with commenting the ideal offensive line you want to see this Sunday against The Rams!
@JAYChi_Bears: You really want Kiran at right tackle? Seriously? the guy missed the entirety of preseason and training camp, is recovering from injury sustained last year, and played at an Ivy league school not known for being the most competitive. No practice, no experience, and you think that's a better option than Matt Pryor? I get it, you don't like Nate Davis, but don't be stupid. If you're going to play Kiran, it would be better to put him inside at guard as there is less to learn on short notice and he would have help on either side - but even that plan is strongly NOT advised. As a tackle he's out on an island and would be exposed without help. Every time the Bears have deployed offensive lineman before they were ready, it ended very badly for all involved. Look up "Stan Thomas" for exhibit A. some people would put Gabe Carimi or Sam Mustipher in that category.
Tyson Bagent: If he were traded to the Raiders as you suggested in yesterday's video, he'd be able to start right away because it's the Luke Getsy offense, which he already knows, and is the same offense he played in college (albeit with different terminology). But to trade Bagent for a lineman is a very desperate move. You don't trade your future with desperation moves unless you're sure you'll be sniffing the superbowl. 70% of QBs don't last the full season in the NFL. Even if Caleb Williams plays spectacularly well, at some point he'll likely be on the sidelines due to injury or some other reason. Tyson Bagent will need to see the field. If you trade Tyson, who's QB #2? that's throwing away games. Again, as I said yesterday, they're trying out the QB for a spot on the practice squad to compete with Austin Reed. They do this nearly every week through the entire season. It only caught people's attention this week because the QB came from the same place Ryan Poles was once employed. The Bears originally wanted Brett Rypien for that spot, but when he bolted they had to act fast to fill the hole with Austin Reed. Reed played well in the preseason, but there's more to the position than playing against 4th string of vanilla defense and gameplan.
Just wanted to say that I was the 69th like (nice 👌) and also I would fully support trading Bagent if we get an immediate OL starter who is competent. ALSO ALSO I 1,000% want to see what Kiran can do. Can't be worse than what we've seen anyways lol
NICEEEE
There is NO WAY starting Bagent over Williams is going to help this team AT ALL. Everyone needs to just (and I hate to quote him) but RELAX. Caleb is improving every game. He has all the intangibles. The Bears need to focus on getting the RUN GAME going right now and everything else will fall into place.
He needs to learn behind somebody, he should have been sitting since the start of the season. Thats how great QBS are made.
YES
@@joshuawilson444 Caleb will be a great qb
@@ausm5569 not saying he won’t, but learning behind somebody provides a higher chance of success to be great. We want a Mahomes or Brady, somebody that will bring multiple rings to the city. Not a Peyton manning with 2 in different cities and great stats. Both Brady and Mahomes sat while Peyton played right away. Just examples but but I’d rather take a year of him sitting and learning than repeating the same cycle that’s happened for the past 5-6 years
@@joshuawilson444 shut up
Keep Nate Davis on the bench. I want to see a trade package deal that includes TB and Khalil Herbert for some help on the offensive line.
YES
I think Allen coming back is massive. A lock in target that catches everything. Needed 👍
He catches everything when he's healthy, but how often has been healthy the last five seasons?
Yes!
If you trade Baegant, if something happens to Caleb, then what? If you trade Him, are you not sending a clear message to your team, and putting more pressure on a rookie Quarterback that it is all on Caleb or Nothing? We have enough to get rid of, on second and third string players, and a few pieces of value out there to correct this weak mentality in our offense! Peace. LaMu
You get a lineman that helps Caleb and prevents injury
Give me Jones, Jenkins, Shelton (ugh), Pryor, Kiran for the OL this Sunday!
He will improve now that he doesn’t have to pick up the slack for Nate Davis. Davis had two bad off seasons and bad last season with never being anything to the Bears.
I would like to see what Kiran A. Can do at RT and keep Pryor at RG where he did well against Indy .
We'll see!
Not sure if I want Kiran out there just yet...he is a rookie with no game experience. Let Pryor take over at RT.
Agreed! As much as I love Kiran, not sure he’s ready for the field. Maybe later in the season as he gets practice and improves technique. But, not sure I want to see Davis either
Facts!
That’s cuz he spent too much time on his back on Sunday.
Exactly what I said! And I have the pictures to prove it!
True!
BEAR 🐻 DOWN BABY, FGB, PVO, I would dress Allen but if you don’t need him let him have 1 more week rest. Yes keep Davis on the bench. Keep Swift and Herbert as backups and turn R. Johnson lose. YES FIND SOME OFFENSIVE LINE BY ANY MEANS. Polas has to do what he has to do. 👍
PVO
Oh, playing musical chairs with the o-line again. That's worked out so well in the last 3 years.
Do they need to simplify this offense to help both Williams and the o-line? Just wondering....
I had wanted to keep Bagent, but he's never going to play here while Williams is healthy. Now, I've changed my mind. I'd like to see him get a chance to fight for a starting job, which he'd have here. Would he succeed somewhere else? I don't know, but I'd like to see him get a real chance somewhere.
As for starting Bagent on the Bears, I'd like to see them put him in there once. And the reason is so that the Bears can better assess the o-line. Bagent is more of a pocket passer than Williams. Is the o-line having issues because they're using a mobile qb? Blocking for a mobile qb has to be harder than for a pocket passer. Bagent only got sacked 5 times in 4 games, so the o-line was better for him.
Lol, sadly yes
Your comment about giving Caleb time isn’t the issue..it’s the really poor offensive play calling. We played against one of the worst run defenses last week and only had 63 rushing yards and we didn’t roll Caleb out once. You really should have talked about replacing our Offense Coach or our Head Coach.
We should replace both
I commented on your last video…. And again I have to compliment you and respect your views and comments. It’s only 3 games! The offense is still getting acclimated.
Thank you!!
Why talk of trading Bagent ? You need a good back up. Caleb will be lucky to play 12 games with there line without a injury.
If we trade for a good OL, then Caleb won't get hurt
Rams may not have a solid rush defense, but any rush defense will look good against this O-line.
We'll see
It’s kewl that K. Allen is back, but if the rhythm between the two is not there, it won’t mean a damn thing.
Beardown.
BEAR DOWN
Do not play Allen! He will stub his toe! History of injuries!
Sad
National host Mike Greenberg (who is a Jets and a Bears fan as he met his wife in Chicago) ripped Ryan Poles yesterday with a well orchestrated oral presentation on the Waddle & Silva show. Silva, a Bears organization bootlicker kept shaking his head. However, Greenberg's delivery was spot on...he literally called Poles completely inept, incompetent, and a newbie thinking he was the right guy to build the Bears. Instead, Poles receive a carved out rear-end hole.
Dang hahaha
Nothing new with the radio crew here in Chicago. They hate when someone comes on the air with intel against their beloved teams.
Theo Benedet is he healthy?
Not yet
@@JAYChi_Bears okay
We need a Center

Bagent and Herbert to Vegas for their Right Guard and Jackson Powers Johnson! Kiran,Tevan, Jackson Powers Johnson,Parham,Wright! Pryor,Bates,Shelton,Jones as Backups
Would love it
I'd rather him throw for 20 yards.... AND WIN!!!! Weak ass priorities
Hey, I want wins too. Let's get one Sunday
Tequila? Margaritas?? The only people who drink those are women and Jimmy Buffet fans, Nic!
Becks FTW!
Lol
Nic, always love your reporting. The reason the fans reacted to Bagent being dealt to another team is that the Bears have always suffered at QB for as long as you know. It’s exciting that we have a good QB room for once in forty years. Why take that piece out of the equation to get an Olineman? These Oline guys are good, just not syncing right now. Remember, the Bears under Flus start out slow every year then pour it on after the first five games. Bear Down!
Thanks Rob!
Jones, Jenkins, Shelton, Pryor, Kiran
Love it
I'd love to see what Kiran brings. The rest I don't care as long as one of them isn't the slug Davis. Ultimately keeping TB would be the best. However if a trade could bring in a quality center that would be a priority. Also I'd love to see TB get a shot at be a starter on a team outside our conference. Claws up Bear Down.
Me too!
I think they’ll have a lot of 2 tight end sets to help with blocking. As long as Caleb keeps making progress I’m happy.
Facts
Need to find a way to bring back TE Brenden Bates
Sadly won't happen
He threw for 350 yd but had to throw 52 times, and one of those was a hail Mary for 75 yd.
Play still worked
As much as I hate to see bagent get traded, it'll help the team and give him a shot which I want to see. He deserves a shot cause the kid might be special.
Yes
0% worried about Caleb. Get #72 in there and see what he can do.
Me too!
No way Keenan is 💯 🤷🏻♂️
Hope he is
Lies
No,! Trade that old TE that gets false starts
No one will want him
D has to clamp down on 3rd and LONG.
Yesss
Thanks for the good content keep it up🎉
Thanks, will do!
The bears are known to be clink queens.
Oh
Just use the defense as the new offense.
LOL
I love Tyson, but he needs to start for somebody. Else caleb williams is our quarterback
Ok coach
Caleb is our QB
Tyson is an extremely hard worker and a student of the game, as he proved last year. I expect he has this offense down cold.
We won't know till he's in
@@JAYChi_Bears True, but he seemed to have a good grasp in the preseason. Let's hope he doesn't have to go in except maybe in garbage time!

oh he's limited, so he's not full practice yet. he's not playing Sunday. Keenan I hope you get traded
Really?
Lol he said he plans on playing

Hey, thanks for clearing that up. What chicago has is a super backup QB. And he's young. A lot of teams are in need of a Qb 1..
You got it :)
I want to see Kiran out there! And no Nate Davis :)
