Generally, I appreciate, and enjoy puzzles immensely. HOWEVER, puzzles like this--in distinguishing colors--makes it very challenging for individuals like myself that are color blind. I see the puzzle in this example like that image of the elephant with multiple legs where it's hard to tell which legs are the real ones and which are just the space between them. Sure, there are icons that can be followed, but the distinction between the strips (that the video labels Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie) is by color, which for someone like myself, makes it very difficult to see where one ends and the other begins. It is not impossible, but very challenging. How they are broken up and explained in this video makes it very helpful to someone like me that otherwise could not have been able to do it without one who is not color blind to help in identifying that there are different strips and their directions or when the indicator denotes one ready for release/unlock. Great video. Thanks for doing it!

I feel like there's a better way to do this than forcing a solution through every combination. I just eyeball it for uncommon runes on the knot and with way less combining that usually gives me the solution

You're not wrong, but that's not something that comes easily to everyone. But, something like this works for everybody.
