Well so if you plant potatoes near tomatoes apparently the potatoes will come up and reach the more squsceptible to disease stage before the tomatoes then both being nightshade the disease will transfer to the younger tomatoes and possibly kill them. I've never tried it this way so not positive but alot of the gurus say no lol.
