    love this video Laura, thx for sharing. I moved out of London 9 months ago (after living in south london for 9 years like you). I currently live on a boat just outside of London so I'm close to nature and to London but recently I've had the itch to research what it's like to live in Bali ... I created my youtube channel a few months ago and I'm building it in the aim of being completely remote, although like you, the idea of being in London 4 months and in Bali (or somewhere else) definitely appeals ... I do think I'm starting to create a vision of the twists in life that I'm seeking and your video has been inspirational ... Thank you so much and im so happy you have started to find your feet and thrive in Bali. Love xo

    Bali is such a special place to be in. Eventhough i live in SEA, in Brunei, i'd go back to Bali at least once or twice a year. Despite the negative comments about the over tourism and massive crowds, Bali is still Bali, the island of gods, it heals you and makes you happy.

      I’ve been in Berlin a few times, love it! But it’s also a big city where the priority is to work and pay bills. Unfortunately, most of the big cities are this way. Some people are fine with it all their lives. I personally ended up so tired and burnt out. Reason why I moved to Bali and it has changed my nervous system for the better! A 2 hour ICE train to visit family is NOTHING! It is no time at all. 3 hours is also nothing. You can live anywhere which is 3 hours away and still visit them as often as you do now. Comparing two different places is pointless. From both places you will find amazing opportunities, beauty, culture, knowledge etc. Before moving to a different place work on your mental health, find a place in your mind where you feel comfortable. There is no unique recipe to find happiness and peace. That journey is personal don’t let social media to make that path for you.

    • @LauraBC
      @LauraBC  3 місяці тому +3

      This comment it’s completely unrelatable to what I talk about in the video. 😅 We are talking here about choosing a place where YOU feel happy. Where you can have a better lifestyle, where you can do all the things you love to do to feed your soul on a daily basis, where you can spend WAY LESS for more. Some people may prefer a big city, some others a small town, others a tropical island. ALL decisions are fully respectable as we are all different. Simple.
      At least the rest understood the message… 😅

    • @rocha2333
      @rocha2333 3 місяці тому

      @@LauraBCno need to take it personal. It’s a critical opinion. You often refer to London as a place full of stress, where there is no humanity, where people don’t talk to each other etc etc. I’ve been living in London for more than 14 yrs and what I’ve learnt is that what matters the most is your approach to live, and your mindset. If you work on your mental health and prioritise what is most important for you, then you will find some balance , peace of mind and other benefits, independenty in London, in Russia, in Thailand… anywhere. In fact, you can have the best of the 2 worlds if you want. Mental health is the key!
      Comparing London with Bali is pointless. It feels like you just experience one layer of what the UK is and can offer. There are completely different places, that’s the beauty of the world that we live in.
