8:10 there is nothing more intense than hearing a random bulk detonator roaming around a cave. I like to sometimes do solo morkite mining missions, and when a Bulk is already roaming the cave, it becomes absolutely terrifying. Because I don't know if the freaking thing is close enough to me that me shooting might draw aggro. Imagine being on a hallway-like tunnel when you hear the bulk and then the announcer yells that there's a swarm incoming. Shit's very not rock-and-stone bro. ._.
interesting thing abt enemy mechanics: im pretty sure that while crassus detonators will only attack once aggroed, bulks spawn with aggro and will immediately hunt you down, through rock if they must
tried an elite deep dive once... We were on the last mission and we didn't really have any ammo. In the cave there was this. -one detonator right in front of the pod -two leeches in the cave (one right over the exit of the pod) -two glyphid nexuses -two spitballers -one goobomber over the exit of the pod -three stabber vines near the exit of the pod -bees that saw us it was a big cave, and the pod-room was halfway in the other cave. I was scout so i couldn't grapple away and i didn't have any ammo. We survived less than a minute.
Yeah the Hollow Bough is the worst biome in it’s history. 1.) Point Extractions are a headache for this biome. They can be in a whole new cave area and yet there’s no mineable dirt nearby. 2.) Morkite Refinery can be okay but if the Refinery is super duper far up or down, make sure you got a driller and/or engi. 3.) Morkite Mining at 400 or 250 can be an absolute nuisance. You LITERALLY have to go back a previous cave if you already reached the end of the cave. 4.) Elimination also worse. If you get a Hiveguard, the sentinels will spawn SUPER far away. Which is a bug sadly, they’re not supposed to spawn over 75 - 90 meters away from the Hiveguard.
Still better than magma core or glacial strata. Magma core can literally just kill you with enviromental effects, or make your teammates unrevivable if they get downed in a bad spot and you're low hp. And Glacial strata slowing you down during a swarm/dread fight can also be a death sentance.
