Dimash born on May 24, 1994 in Aktobe, Kazakhstan, (1.91 m, 6″3 ft). According to Kazakh tradition, he was raised by his grandparents and until he was seven or eight years old, he regarded his birth parents as his aunt and uncle. They all live together in one house. Dimash has trained in music since the age of 5. He has university degrees in opera as well as pop/ jazz.
In 2020 Dimash graduated as a composition master, composed 10 own songs so far and now, he works on his doctorate. We'll have to name him soon, Dr. Dimash Kudaibergen.😃
In 2016 Dimash declined a vocation to the National Opera in Astana, because he wants to go his own way… He created his own genre: neoclassical combined with classical, folklore and other styles like pop, rock, R&B, jazz and anything else you could imagine. We laypeople say 'Popera'.😃
Important: Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. He chooses his own songs or the events. Dimash didn't fit the traditional image of a male singer. He was criticized but he won many competitions. In 2017 in China Dimash surprised everyone. He opened the eyes of his compatriots and the doors to the young singers of his country. Now Dimash is even a 'cultural ambassador' for his country and a 'national treasure' (not official title). himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot.
The beginning in 2017: Dimash received a wild-card for the competition "Singer 2017" in China. Dimash was the youngest participant of all time (22 years) and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part. Nobody knew or hear Dimash before and he also had to start first. The competition consisted of 14 rounds, over 4 months. The jury consists of 500 spectators. With up to 1 billion people see this tv-program, that's generated international interest. The performances were uploaded to UA-cam. The Chinese organizers planned (they didn't believe in him either) that Dimash would survive two episodes of the competition and go home again. But Dimash came, sang and stayed... for the next 3 years in China.

The last years have been very, very eventful and successful for Dimash. He is now one of the most popular artists in China and has received many awards and prizes. His first album went platinum in 37 sec., 3x platinum in 47 min., 5x platinum on the first day in China (album platinum: 200.000) Dimash was invited to New Year's Eve, Chinese New Year and Spring Festival three years in a row, it is a great honor. These shows have the largest audience in the world with up to 1 billion viewers. In China he also met his idol Jackie Chan (actor and also a great singer in China), who asked him to sing the soundtrack for his film 'Vanguard'.
The stage has always been Dimash's dream. Little Dimash often sat in the audience at his parents' performances and ran onto the stage when they bowed at the end and he did the same. In his childhood he trained Taekwondo. He achieves his enormous lung capacity through targeted swimming and diving training, juggles a soccer ball very well and even takes additional dance lessons for his Dears. Dimash's role models are Lara Fabian, Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Celin Dion, Queen and not to forget Michael Jackson. Dimash doesn't drink alcohol and of course he doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink ice drinks, doesn't like socks and he love fire and water on stage, of course as stage-set. A Dear in China gifted him knee pads but he said that he's so into his song, that he doesn't feel pain.😃 Dimash looks good, is one of the 100 most beautiful men in the world and is a globally sought-after model. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian (without accent, second language in Kazakhstan), speaks English better and better and tries Mandarin (Dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him). He also sings in 12 languages so far. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, has a perfect pitch and plays at least 7 instruments, traditional Dombra a must in his family.
Experts consider Dimash a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor, but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, alto, soprano. His current range is almost D1 - D8 (out of piano)! At least, that show us Dimash. 😃

Dimash is very attentive. He loves giving flowers to people. He will never fail to send flowers to Sveta and Mama on Women's Day, even if he is far away. Family are very important to him, his mother (Sveta), his father and manager (Kanat), his grandparents (Mama and Papa), Sister (Raushan (born 2001), she received a medical school scholarship to become a doctor and brother Mansur (born 2007), accomplished dombra player, plays in Dimash's concerts now and then. In 2020 he started studying at the same music college as his big brother.
