I like how the tone of Parhelion Peak was handled. The music really gave off the feeling this was the last peaceful level in the game before shit hit the fan and you invaded Robotnik's fortress.
I was wondering what lead you to that conclusion, but then I listened to it. Yeah, I do hear a bit of Collision Chaos in this. Kinda makes sense since this Zone is like one of the "Casino" or "Spring Yard" zones.
I never really heard it until now, but I'm hearing bits of Metro Madness in the bells in the beginning of the song... Could it be a purposeful reference in the music since Titanic Tower fell into the Volcano at the top of Parhelion Peak and was next to it when it initially lifted off in BTS?
It could be. There a quite a few references to BTS in ATS so that wouldn't be a coincidence. The Big 4 Point Star in the background of Technology Tree is also in Sunset Star so I could see it as a reference.
The beginning of this song reminds me of when I had an Xbox 360 and (my sister and I) spent afternoons playing Minecraft's Christmas texture and listening to the OST of that texture #xbox360 #nostalgia Edit: I also heard it on the cyberdime realm map of the srb2 game

If I remember correctly, that ring around the sun is called a Parhelion.
