Ron’ another lovely video, the stern section is looking great. Yesterday missy extra should have been called ‘the show’ starring Missy Max and Ron 😂. Happy everything Ron
Ron, you could mask off a small section of the rear deck and spray it with a grey Tamiya color and see if you like it or not. If not, break out the windex and remove the paint! Stern section looks great! Can't wait to see that sub all put together!
I'd put LEDs on the inside to illuminate the interior. That would look really cool! Then you can paint the top, and still have the sides clear to be visible.
Hi Jim, Apparently UA-cam is placing ads on all videos now whether the creator monetizes or not. I do not monetize, but that doesn't make any difference it seems. The only way you can get away from not seeing ads is to pay the extra to UA-cam. I think it's about $10 or $15 a month extra . Yeah, it's all about money these days isn't it.
@@roncalverley So, if you don't want to make money on your content, you have to pay UA-cam so they don't. But they'll take your money to not do it. Amazing. I'm sure if they don't, Google will go broke. Thanks. JimE
Hi Ron, for running the wiring inside the stern section, for the stern light, you could maybe run them in a clear plastic tube - perhaps a cut down pipette or similar 🤔 Still enjoying your efforts, Ray, Northumberland UK.🤗
Hi Ron, my first time babysitting our granddaughter, and watching your show, many more times to come 😊😊😊😊! I’m slowly coming your way on leaving the rear clear , if you paint the wiring grey it would look like part of the model? 😊😊😊see you tomorrow
I just looked up why Mr hobby paint bubbles, it’s pretty common amongst modellers, there’s a few reasons, some say it’s from being shaken to much to adding an flowing additive, you should do a google search you’ll be surprised how many people have this same problem 😊
Ron, how about accenting the deck detail on the clear hull? It would enhance th detail while retaining the see-through quality. It might even obscure the LED wires.
Have you tried to insert the finished module into the clear section again to see how the steering gear matches up with the rudder stems? or did I miss that. Your documenting your model building adventures are a great resource and fun to watch. Thank you Ron. Have a great day
I should have mentioned to you a couple of weeks ago that I have a 200 scale Yorktown I have in my stash that I would sell but I know you have ordered a carrier from RC in Winnipeg. Have a great day.
Hey Ron. Jamie from Thompson here. I see this am that hobby link Japan website has a new monochrome 1/200 scale Yamato coming out in February. They ship to Canada. I’ve ordered from them before. Not sure what the shipping would be. All the best. Jamie
Paint the deck, dont paint the deck? Youll get a hundred different opinions, including mine! And youll see be none the wiser. Your model, your way, as long as you're happy. Waiting to see how easy those push rods on the module line up with the rudders inside, could be a bit of a challenge 🤔🤔
Hi Martin, I've been wondering about connecting up to push rods as well. There is a bit of an opening that isn't too visible where the rear torpedo tube comes out and I think that I should be able to manipulate things by reaching inside that hole it's it's not too visible but there is a access point there. 🤞
Good work today, Ron. I like leaving it clear. You wouldn't want to obscure any of your interior work. See you tomorrow! 👍🙂
I think you're right - it looks fantastic 100% all clear! 👍
@roncalverley YES, it does! 👍🙂
That's 25% of the whole model complete right there! 😊
Looking good, Ron!
Thanks 👍
Everything looking good Ron, see you tomorrow👍🙂
Thanks 👍

Hi Wes,
The sub is coming along nicely! 👍
Yoo viewers: It is his deck and he wants it clear! Let that be enough 🤣 Looks great as it is
😁👍
Very nice video. Wow your attention to detail is amazing. Nice work.
👍
Hey Ron, good episode tonight, I'll see you tomorrow. 👍👍👍👍

Watched this a day late and it is the first time I believe I've seen ads before it started and during the video. See ya. JimE

Hi Ron you could paint the deck are with some diluted tamyia smoke to give a bit of different look but not obscure the transparency

Hi Jamie,
The 1/200 scale Yamato is on the back burner for now, but thanks.
I would have put LEDs on the inside and illuminated it that way....

If the whole hull was clear be what I want 🎉. But just me🎉
