    Came across your channel and really enjoyed this video. Been to Yosemite a handful of times and it’s one of my favorite places.
    Best time to go is spring time, when the snow has melted, and all the wildflowers are blooming! Hope you get to visit Yosemite again- there’s so much more to see!

    If you’re still in the area, check to see if highway 120w is open. There are two or three tunnels that you drive through. One of them, has a cave they carved out for ventilation. If headed west it’ll be on your left side, if headed east on your right side. Go to the end and park at the turn out, then walk back to the cave. It leads to a fence that you can climb under and sit on a cliff. Smoked a blunt there as the sun rose and it was one of my most iconic memories at Yosemite. No hike required, but you get an insane view. Perfect for camera.

      They are saying Big Oak Flat Rd is still going to be closed a couple more days between hwy 140 in the park to Foresta Rd due to rockfall.

    What's funny, is those redwoods are tiny. Head north through SF, over the golden gate and go up to the avenue of the giants. those are the big boys. Love your videos, looks like the bed is still an issue. There are bears in California, so be careful.

    • @NorCal-native
      @NorCal-native 4 місяці тому

      Those trees he thought were “redwoods” are actually Giant Sequoias which are the tallest trees on earth. Sequoias are in the same family which is why there bark looks similar but are completely different species

    • @NorCal-native
      @NorCal-native 4 місяці тому

      I live in just south of SF and have seen the old growth redwoods you are referring to and Giant Sequoias are much bigger in comparison

    • @NorCal-native
      @NorCal-native 4 місяці тому

      Redwoods only grow 20mi from the coastline and cannot be found in the Sierra

    Theres Soooo much more to see there. Glacier point. Half Dome Bridalveil Vernal & Nevada falls.
    You got to go back!!
    My favorite place!!
    I used to hike from Mammoth to Yosemite. A week hike!! But incredible!! Touching trees no human has touched before!!

    Check out Tahoe national Forest! Echo Lake is a great hike and if you keep going, you’ll hit Aloha lake, which is absolutely amazing! And, if you keep driving 80 heading to Nevada desert, it’s absolutely beautiful and undervalued!

    Walmart makes this pre-cooked breakfast hash that comes in a frozen bag. You just heat up in a pan, it’s super quick to cook, crack a couple eggs into it and it’s so tasty!

    I saw Bakersfield pop up on your navigation! That’s where I am. I went to Humboldt State University,now Cal Poly Humboldt. If you drive north on the 101 through Eureka and Arcata, make sure to stop at Los Bagels in Arcata. Best bagels I’ve ever had! A stop in Trinidad might be nice too- a little bay there and you can fish off the pier. It might remind you of Massachusetts a little.☺️

    You should visit New Mexico! Desert dwelling isn’t for the faint of heart though so come prepared. The Valles Caldera is starting to thaw and the elk herds will return soon. It’s a prime place to view wildlife and also explore volcanic terrain! We got a bunch of hotsprings here too, just please don’t Geotag them if you visit. Too many non-locals have been coming and ruining our springs.
