All well but it's better if you drive the gide before the oil seal instead of hammering together they will go in sweeter one after the other apparti this good instruction there is the need of cleaning over used oil and polishing dirt blast on chrome.

I drained the air from the schrader valve and the fork sucked into the compressed position under a strong vacuum. Forks only have 50 hrs on them and was working fine. 2019 Husqvarna FX450. Going to consult a friend who has the same fork. I'm guessing a seal may be bad, or I just need to leave like 10-20 psi in the fork. I wasn't planning on changing any seals during this service. My 1st time working on AER forks. ANyone have similar experience?

  • @hyposez1129

So basically WP XACT forks with AER technology have damping functions on the right side and air on the left, i understand the left side(air side) but is the damping side like coil fork or is it just damper, spring, oil or is it damper and air or something?

Question is that digital air pump you are using, is the battery in it USB or even rechargeable, I bought one a while back and after a year of use, the battery died, the manufacturer Fox said they're were a disposable unit and not rechargeable or battery replaceable, so that went to the bin, thank you Fox! I have an XPLOR so it's not an issue for me now, probably never touch an air fork again! I'm a set it up right and leave it type of guy!
But I think it's worth mentioning if those pumps have moved on and are rechargeable or the battery is atleast replaceable without having to dispose of the whole pump? Cheers guys big fan of Rockymtn 👍

@@dawidworwa1206 The 4CS forks are not air forks so you wouldn't be able to check air pressure. But we have a video showing how to rebuild the 4CS forks if you want to check that out and make sure those are what is on your bike. If your goal is to get your forks to be stiffer, you can still accomplish that by using your compression clicker. The compression adjustor should be the clicker located on your left fork.
