Hello I am from Myanmar and I am proud for my country.I live in Mandalay. There are many traditional food that you should try too.The sunset of Mandalay Palace was very unique in its own way. Thanks for filming about Myanmar and making the world to know Myanmar. Thanks^3^
Lethwei brought me here , I HAVE to visit Myanmar , an Irrawaddy river cruise looks perfect. I will have to visit the Thein Phyu Stadium , the temple of Lethwei !! The food looks fantastic !!
Myanmar is very wild and chaotic but everyone is so close to eachother and lives off of each other's support. Though I was born and raised in Yangon, street life is pretty much the same. The noise, chaos, smell of food, people talking and laughing, children running around, adults chasing after the children with a stick, women grocery shopping, men sitting at small tea shops. It's all the same and I honestly do miss it even though I know I'm privileged in the eyes of the people back home for living in a high class country such as Australia, but honestly in my opinion, it is more boring here (not to sound ungrateful, i love the kangaroo land), but I do miss Myanmar and the small things they offer.
What was that on those ladies faces, I'm really curious about that. And i hread about the situation of Myanmar right now hope everything will be fine soon. Stay strong my prayers are with you. love from India🇮🇳
It's called thanaka, a traditional cosmetic paste made from thanaka bark. Women usually apply it as sunscreen since it cools the skin..and thank u sm for your prayers, divya..we're still fighting for justice..love from myanmar
Been to Myanmar and i had stomach ache with their food, think due to the different spices they use, people are nice though very friendly, warmth, and learned too that what they put on their faces is a herbal sunblock because it is hot in Myanmar, overall they are wonderful people.
I was born in Burma and grew up till I am 15. I used to eat street food and still loving it. but when i am away from Burma for couple of years, my stomach is being too clean to handle all the street food. can you not see the cook is not wearing glove or accepting circulated money with the same hand, no hand wash or rub- went back to work on with bare hand. Moreover, the weather is hot and dusty dry, it is very lack of sanitation. However, i still love to eat those food still. I am learning how to cook them at home and having it safe.
Oh my gosh! The translation caption is absolutely perfect. I reli miss the old days of Burma because everyone lived freely and happily . Let the military dictatorship fall as soon as possible.
Interesante vídeo. Pero se ve difícil aprender el idioma... 😢 Me gustaría visitar Myanmar algún día, como soy budista me gustaría visitar los templos y aprender enseñanzas. Saludos.
Well, it looks delicious 😁.. And I wanted to try Burmese street food, I've never been in Myanmar, but I have a long distance boyfriend. I said I wanted to go in his place (Yangon) but he keeps on telling me that it is dangerous, well for me I don't care at all. Cause If I see food I will still eat 😅😊😘 Love your video ❤❤❤❤
Honestly speaking, Aira, plz don't trust anyone who meets online. Yangon is not dangerous. But, may be, he is a married man. You can visit Yangon anytime and ask anyone on the street if you don't know where to go or what to eat. Most are kind.
Our foods have many similar with India because we became under British Colonized 1885 with India together. I think that make Myanmar have many Indian Foods. India was independent from British at 15 Aug 1947 and Myanmar was independent from British also at 4 Jan 1948. Love India 🇮🇳 from Myanmar 🇲🇲. I would also like to try Dosa at India one day. :)
It's called ThaNakha It's a paste we got from thanakha bark Use it to prevent sunburn and sooth skin irritation. It's a Myanmar tradational thing from what I know. I've tried them before and it's really soothing to skin
Once I was on the train to Kalaw and we stopped in a tiny station where people were selling food on the platform. I bought some and it was SO DELICIOUS!! And only 500 kyat for each item. I got a big delicious lunch for under $2 US and ate it on the train. What a great travel experience.
If only these Burmese can introduce their streetfoods to Philippines.Sure Filipinos and Filipino-Chinese will love it. Possibly, it will become popular too like Korean Samgyup, Indian Biryani, Arabic Kabsa, Turkish Kebab and Vietnamese Pho.
Dun know which one u were asking, but I think it’s a woman making. If I am correct, let me explain u, That’s called ‘thin baw thi htaung ‘ which means papaya salad, veggie names are, white are papaya in slices, green are water spinach
