Thanks alot I was clueless about this earlier and all my questions were wrong due to this issue. This video really helped me out. Thanks💐👍Hope become the biggest youtubers out there soon
What about this? If I have 3/m < or = to 1, find m (m is the gradient). My answer sheet says it’s m > or = to 3, but I don’t know why the sign is flipped if there isn’t any negative signs? Can someone please help?
Hi, the reason why m>or=3 is because "m" is the starting point on the number line, which is 0. So you always have to refer to the starting point on the number line. I don't know if this makes sense for you as it is how "I understand the logic". If not, then here is a simpler way. If 3
@@goodwillwin3664 I understand your answer, and I’m grateful of course, but apparently it is because m is an unknown variable, either a negative or positive. To solve it you just have to trial a negative and positive to see which one works
Hi there @ethanol In this question it's not really about the negative sign look Because m is in the denominator we somehow need to make it a numerator so we can solve it so we multiply both sides by m. This cancels out the m in the denominator and it gets multiplied with 1 on the other side since 1 multiplicative identity ie it has no effect when multiplied. M stays as it is on the other side. Give ing us equation 3 is or = to 3 Do it by urself and you will understand it
Bro i honestly though when i kept geting this questions wrong was do they just decide to flip it when they feel like it but then when i see this video i realized it was only when it was divided by negatives which my teacher didnt say or i didnt hear so would have save me a lot of time and enery and sanity
Your videos are the reason why i’m passing my math class and made me get an award you make me understand so easy; keep these videos going. Thank you ❤
