What happened with Agios Nikolas church in Bodrum? What happened with Agia Sofia in Konstantinoupoli, monastery Hora? @@Xenia7777 Ms. Xenia. Unfortunately, churches have not been given due importance in the Republic of Turkey. Mosques were destroyed. I saw mosques where barns were built. However, the churches have been repaired in the last 20 years. There are churches that are still being repaired. Whether you are a church or a mosque, I want them all to be repaired again. I do not want the mosques in our old lands to be in ruins. Old churches also need to be well maintained. But unfortunately, our mosques in Greece are in a miserable state. There are Turks living on the islands, at least for them our ancient monuments and mosques need to be restored. I am someone who defends the idea of preserving ancient artifacts.
