If your router is providing DHCP to automatically assign IP addresses to your desktop, tablet, inkjet printer, smart-TV, etc., you'll need to reserve the laser's IP address in the router's DHCP settings so that the router doesn't try to give that IP address to your laptop when you power it up next.

Good advice. So far the PC in the studio has only been used down on that router. The house has a separate router.
