I'm not gonna ask **Why** The floor of a burning library is fill with enough water to fit a sea monster, but either way, Librarian wants this big fish out of his lawn
It is crazy how the Leviathan never battered the books, that could've given the Librarian an even greater advantage. The Leviathan did underthow one of the books, though, which apparently killed the book instantly.
Did it kill the book instantly though? I think once the Librarian ignites, it is assumed that all books are destroyed, regardless of whether or not all book have been destroyed; since one of the book stacks was undertowed, and not destroyed, but there were no longer any active books on the field... I think the number of books is set to zero, once Librarian ignites, after all active books are gone. Just a guess, though.
IDK whats is more terrifying, the fact that the librarian was the winner (he beat a god) or that Leviatan lost for a close call when his first mecanic (AoE) was playing against him
I feel like the Librarian def has an advantage here. Leviathan mainly deals aoe attacks and relies on undertow, neither of which is good vs the librarian. The librarian is a time dps race, and the Leviathan doesn't have the dps to kill him in time. Update: Wow, that was a lot closer than I thought. Leviathan is a truly broken boss.
That was closer than expected. Would have laughed my ass off if the librarian just got undertoed on round 1, then the Leviathan just proceeded to yell at books for the rest of the fight
I like to imagine that the leviathan went through the region in the coach and beat all earlier lair mobs to get the trophy. Truly intelligent marine life.
A fun fight, I also think there will probably be mods made to make setting up there fights easier. So like instead of having to go into like the game files, people with probably like mod in a menu or something
I put my money on Leviathan and quickly regretted that decision when I saw them drag under a pile of books and all the Dodge and Blind tokens that the Librarian was producing.
They can't? Well, in any case, there was no way for Librarian to be pulled underwater there, they have 200% move resist. But if they didn't... ua-cam.com/video/GR_Md-28Ax4/v-deo.html
Does someone know what's the context behind the librarian? Like, why does he ignite and vo crazy when there's no more books, or why does he keep burning them if getting rid of them makes him angy
Random in DD2 works in a way similar to Slay the Spire, it's pre-determined. But even if all the hit results were random, Librarian would won in most (I assume, 90%) of the cases.
I like how even the Leviathan is against the burning of books.
"Gods no! Our knowledge about aqueduct engineering!"
He's super fan of Hobbes
I Don't think he Is against It, Hes probably mad because you cant drown a Book

local god of the sea fails to extinguish burning library

He can't burn the books if they're all soaking wet
Interesting idea though!
No wonder librarian climbed the stand.
It looks cool anyways
Local man beats deep sea horror using books
He used facts and Logic to Beat a fish
Florida Man

Hand batters only the enemy with the "Call of the Deep" debuff, but books receive no debuffs.
The book probably got chipped down to 0 hp, and then didn't resurface due to not having a dd resist

Leviathan is like :
-Stop burning my book collection, I've got an autograph of Hobbes on all of them !!!😡
Makes me wonder why King Kong was deployed against Godzilla.
A Librarian is enough for a Kaiju apparently xD

They must be made to see that their monstrous god is mortal.
You could say the leviathan was out of his element 🥁

Hardest layer boss
To be fair, the Librarian's high damage also generally comes from aoe.
Librarian also has dodge and blind capabilities with a single move, just not being able to be hit is nuts
By grabbing the books into water, the leviathan tries to save it from the librarian's fanatism.
Even leviathan has standards.
As a person who had their first ever team wipe come from the Leviathan, this video is cathartic. Thank you, Librarian.
What did we learn today? Do not let the Librarian get to rank 1 because even Levi couldn't handle 3 actions in 1 turn.
the librarian : read mf! read !!!
they got us in the first half ngl
So…. The library is both flooded and burning
Nice
Big fish attempts to steal old mans books , the old man says : I would rather burn my books than let you steal them away!
That was closer than expected. Would have laughed my ass off if the librarian just got undertoed on round 1, then the Leviathan just proceeded to yell at books for the rest of the fight
Makes me wonder what would happen if the boss got undertowed since the books have no actions.
I removed 200% move resistance from Librarian and here are the results:

Remember when you see an ancient god, throw a book at it.
You know what's more destructivable then hundreds of cannons?

Dragging down the books was Leviathan's first and last mistake of the fight: not even a god can withstand "Burning Bright"
Hydrogen Bomb vs Coughing Baby (the coughing baby won)
The Leviathan has a weakness: *MANDATORY READING.*
local librarian teaches his culinary skills against sea gods
Nooooooo, poor Leviathan, you will get your revenge
And that my friends is how you make the best fried calimari
Now that’s a wild thing to see in the library
Hell yeah, f*** the Leviathan, he won against our boy Shambler!
blud is swimming in nothing
Bro is swimming in oil
Fire, water and books
That scenery looks so freaking cool
Knew it would get funky when librarian got to the front
Fire 1:0 Water

Knowledge is power, such power that it can kill a god
Who would win a powerful entity able to warp a whole coast line into loyal followers or a guy on fire and some books
This is actually scary...
To the surprise of no one...
I was like 90% sure that the fight was over as soon as the hand respawned, but I guess Leviathan can't undertow a solo target
They can't? Well, in any case, there was no way for Librarian to be pulled underwater there, they have 200% move resist.

who would win
an ancient creature from the deep, the deity of the Sacred Pier, the idol of the fisherfolk
or
a nerdy boi
Who would win, Nessy or a extremely passionate nerd.
Water VS Fire
here we have part 1 of my reasoning as to why i literally never fight the librarian ever and think he's the hardest boss of all the region bosses
I hate the Leviathan so much it's unreal
I'm confused, is the library burning or flooding?!
for the fact that leviathin is op against other bosses livrarian did incredibly well
Does someone know what's the context behind the librarian?
Like, why does he ignite and vo crazy when there's no more books, or why does he keep burning them if getting rid of them makes him angy
I’m actually shocked, I thought for sure the Leviathan would win if it just undertowed the Librarian tbh
200% move resist, baby!
Without the 200% move resist tho... ua-cam.com/video/GR_Md-28Ax4/v-deo.html
I was with the librarian because i thought leviathan would waste time on battering books
WHATEVOROUGHH!
fishfry anyone? (not me, I hate seafood)
Who would win
A god of the sea, giant creature that tower both in body and strength
or

I wonder if librarian will lose if he was on the left side ( I think RNG is more for the right side tbh )
Wow water vs fire

Why? The results would be same.
@@single-player rng can change on certain things, especially when the result was already close to begin with

Librarian is so easy though Imo. Haven't lost a single battle to him.
This entire fight was a big fat lie. Leviathan pracitcally nwver stood a chance, much less if the books lasted less time
