As an early 2000s kid, I enjoyed growing up with VHSs and DVDs so I can experience these wonderful logos like this one, Masterpiece Collection, Home Video and many more!
Vhs was a good gateway for the early 2000s generation to experience a lot of 80s and 90s movies before being replaced by dvd completely by the middle of the decade and now in 2022 even dvd feels retro.
When I was a kid, I always thought this logo sequence was interesting because I've usually only seen the normal "Walt Disney Pictures" one on a lot of Disney movies I've seen. Seeing this again has given me a HUGE nostalgia-based "high" feeling.
A majestic, gradually rising synthesizer fanfare; when the logo starts and Mickey Mouse shows up, there is a synth-bass note with synth-violins warming up, a whimsical synthesized organ tune accompanied by synthesized chimes as the spark swirls above Mickey's hand and writes the text "WALT DiSNEY", a 7-note synth-trumpet fanfare with a "sizzling" noise as the comet flies around the diamond, a cymbal crash as the text "WALT DiSNEY CLASSICS" turns to gold and the comet and pixie dust trail leave the logo and twinkles playing underneath the synthesizer music until we fade to black.

The music used to scare me when I was little. I’d go to my grandparents’ house and watch the old 101 Dalmatians on VHS, and this would play right before the movie. Now it’s not too bad
The last new "Black Diamond" Classics VHS release to feature the 1989 version of the Walt Disney Classics logo was the early pressings of the 1992 VHS release of _101 Dalmatians,_ which didn't have any previews at all. The later pressings of said VHS release marked the debut of the 1992 version of the Classics logo with the clean-sounding music, and included a preview for Disney's then-upcoming animated classic, _Aladdin,_ as well as previews for the home video debuts of _The Great Mouse Detective_ (a.k.a. The Adventures of the Great Mouse Detective) and _Beauty and the Beast._ The latter two previews appeared after the movie. Starting with the 1992 VHS release of _The Rescuers,_ the music for the 1992 Classics logo became distorted and heavier in bass.
I love this logo so very much, it reminds me of the great memories watching the little mermaid, beauty and the beast, and Aladdin. I really really miss how Disney was back in the day and now it's not the same as it used to be which really hurts my heart 💔😢😢
This is going to sound really weird, but whatever. I’d love to see this being brought back in Disney’s next set of blu-rays once they release 4K quality versions of their classic films in a few years. You know, I can somewhat picture it: “The Walt Disney Timeless Collection”. Before the movie plays, Sorcerer Mickey shows up and raises his hands like he’s starting an orchestra (cue beginning of music). An orb of magic shows up from Mickey’s hands and shoots it. While the theme (updated, of course) begins, the orb quickly moves while moving past highlights of Disney’s films. Near the end, Tinkerbell shows up in a dimly-lit area. She hits her wand on a set of letters that are also dimly lit, and the “Walt Disney Timeless Collection” insignia shows in sparking gold when the theme ends. Tinkerbell then leaves in a trail of pixie dust.
Fun Fact: This logo made a surprise reappearance on earlier pressings (pre-December 18, 1995) of the 1996 "Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection" VHS release of "Pocahontas," due to a video editing/processing error. Later pressings (post-December 18, 1995) of said VHS release corrected that mistake by replacing this logo with the 1994 Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection logo.

I don't know why, but there's a lot of logos, especially in Disney movies that really spooked me too. The Walt Disney Home Video logo that blares on after the FBI warnings, and even the Feature Presentation logo scared me. They still make me uneasy even now and I have yet to understand why.

The one that said "Coming Only to Movie Theaters this 1992 Holiday Season" got me the most, perhaps because, after the quiet FBI Warning signs, the narration just comes out of nowhere and gave me goosebumps. For this one, it's that string trill that gets me a little uneasy. I myself cannot explain it. :-/
The Fox and The Hound was the first Disney film i saw. And saw this logo and it got me the creeps by listening the theme especially the narrator said "And Now Our Feature Presentation!"
Sometimes Mark Elliot's narration intro to the Aladdin preview gets me scared in a mixed good and bad way when I'm alone at night and it's silent in my house.

Jack Ager so uh turns out don bluth wasn't responsible for the naked lady in the window it was an editor in charge of editing one of the release reels in 1977 he put it in there as a test for the older animators to see if they could spot it unfortunately, they didn't use his copy but when time came to release the Rescuers on VHS, they found his copy and used it and he was laughing when they interviewed him
My childhood memories of this one was on my recording of 101 dalmatians the animated movie that we recorded off ABC and I think it's time for this one to come back on blu-ray movies.
