    No better way to beat the blues than with a fabulous fabric haul! I’m self-soothing today by organizing my sewing and leatherworking materials. Sorting rivets, snaps, pins and needles was blissfully self-indulgent.

    I don’t sow but for some reason I do end up picking up sewing patterns for some reason. Especially vintage ones I just love the designs. I do really like your seventies patterns. I was a seventies kid and I’ve always loved detail those seventies patterns have the best details. Flower patterns on wall paper from back then or on cookware so cool. That plaid will make great skirts. I remember my mom having a mini skirt of a plaid pattern like that. So cool.

    Really enjoyed this. 😂
    Sadly my sewing skills are very poor despite many sewing machines that collect dust between trips to the sewing machine hospital for tune-ups.
    I have a very strong addiction to fabric that goes through 10 year cycles of buy buy buy, fantasize about tote bags, cloaks, or other simple things I will make,
    then storage, then donate most of it to thrift store because I get discouraged.🦋
    I loved the cotton pink bunny fabric and the wool plaids but just for their beauty.
    I tend to collect cotton, upholstory, and canvas mostly.
    Thank you for another fun video. 👍
    🥰🥰🇨🇦

    You absolutely scored on the dopamine with this haul!! Funny enough I watched this a day late because I was out shopping for diy decorations for my craft room to chase the grrrrs away from the weekend and Monday. lol apparently we have same brain going on lol. I even went to Savers looking for fabric! lol Unfortunately they did not have anything I was excited about but that's ok because the other shopping I did worked out fantastically and I found some beautiful and inexpensive things to be creative with in decorating my craft space. I also found the perfect pieces for my neighbor to put in her grand daughter's memorial floral garden this spring. Yes it's a heartbreaking situation for her but the pieces were just too perfect and I was right, she loved them and it felt so good to bring her some light and joy in the sadness. All in all it was a Great Day!!

    I love fabric and sewing too! I haven't done it in a while though. It was one of my special interests at one point. But then I got to where I would just buy fabric and not sew it so I had to stop buying it lol. Plus it is expensive... :/ I still have a bunch of fabric and now my 5 year old is likes to use it to make plushies with a glue gun. 😅 My favorite was the purple plaid for sure. And the flowers in the vase piece of course. You could even turn that into one of those mini quilt pieces to hang on the wall.

    Ooh the pearly fabric could maybe be a shrug, too. Like those things that are just connected long sleeves?
    When thrifting fabric, does it sometimes have that musty thrifty smell to it like clothing does? If so, do you have a tip for what to wash it with to get rid of that?

    • @WoodshedTheory
      @WoodshedTheory  6 місяців тому +1
