Great video owen! I have a homemade bin and the worms really eat waste away in it! They make such good compost. If you want your worms to breed more add a handful of oats and that flattens them up quickly.
Nice video, but would be great to know how you use it, rotate the trays and eventually take the compost out and separate it from the worms that I assume you want to keep. Haven't found anyone covering the use of these wormboxes past the initial setup - future vid perhaps?
Thank you for the feedback, all is appreciated! I will link underneath this comment to my newer, improved wormery video! Hope this helps! ua-cam.com/video/a5PjGYt27a4/v-deo.html
Just looking at this system for UK use. Thanks for the informative video. 👍 1. Does this tower need to be in a certain position, location, in or out of sun, at a certain temperature? Can it be too cold in British winter or too hot, or too sunny? 2. Does it ever smell or attract flies? 3. Any issues in going on vacation and leaving it for 2 or 3 weeks or more? 4. What other issues and problems with them? Pests, virus disease, other invasive worms, dead worms, etc? What’s the maintenance work with them? 5. Is it worth having? Is there a good yield of compost plus liquid feed for the effort, cost, and space taken? 6. Do the worms multiply enough to keep it going or do you need to add more worms later? 7. If they over multiply is it then necessary to remove some worms? Plus does this happen and how regularly? 8. Can and do the worms escape? If so how? Thanks!
Hi I am thinking of getting a wormery do you know of a good book that will help me set it up. And will help me about feeding them and what to feed. And what to do with them in the winter when it gets cold etc.
Wow Owen every video you make I fall more and more in love with you and your channel. I hope it’s not too much of an ask, but could you send me your autograph on a picture of yourself. My wife and I are such HUGE fans and it would be so amazing if you could. One day I am going to travel to the city of Wales in west England to meet you, and my oh my will it be a glorious day for me and you. We will laugh and cry, reminisce about the lives we never had when we knew each other and wonder about what we will eat for dinner (maybe some of my other wife’s carrots with carrot sauce, they are ever so nice, or we could try my other wife’s slippery sneaky steak, thats also delicious). My advice to you Owen is to get yourself a wife (or maybe 15 wives, like me). You need and deserve someone special in your life, someone brilliant and wonderful, joyous and beautiful, so why not have 15 people like that in your life. Best wishes, Supreme Leader Farkash.

Thank you! I found quite a few eggs!
I was told Mangoes are aphrodisiac to them - their population will explode 😅
Short and sweet and wormy. Great video. Well done.
Thank you Jeanette!😁

Da iawn Owen. Great video and really useful
Diolch! :)
Great video! Really helped. :)
Thanks! Glad I could help, I have a new updated version of this video on my channel now!
I live in Mexico and I want to know if there's a way to atrack worms or we need to buy them? Thanks and good luck.
Hi! Normally with wormeries, people buy worms like the tiger worms I have or there are a few other worm species that work! :)
Owen I thought the worm tea couldn't be used in the food cycle because it's not safe to consume?
I haven’t heard of this! I do dilute it 10 to 1 also and done get it on any leaves!

That's great that you are going to get a wormery! I linked a good starter book in the description of this video! :)
Great job
Awesome
I suppose we are all busy in gardening. I am starting lots of seeds and planting bare roots. Hope you would like to check it out.
The liquid that comes out of the bottom isn't worm tea... Mix the liquid 1 part liquid to 10 parts water, this makes a great plant food
