Please be very careful if you decide to score the boot. I have seen a few scored leading edges due to scoring too deep. Blending and ultra sound thickness inspection was required.

I'm not a pilot but this process seems VERY technique dependent. Seriously, it seems like this isn't a real process, more of by the seat of your pants/whatever works! What if you make a mistake or misalignment? Like wallpaper, do you constantly pull it back off and try again? Bubbles?
When your boss tells you to install a de-ice boot you've never done it before........you end up here.

Conductive cement from boot to painted wing ? Should it not be to metal with conductive alodine coating ?
How do you get bubbles out??? We just did our first one and have a few bubbles, can you remove them?

A lot can go wrong in this process. It made me trust less of this kind of plane.
