THE FIGHT FOR KRAKOA HAS BEEN LOST! Ten years ago, the mutants returned from their exile to try and reclaim the Earth from the forces of Orchis. They failed. Now, within the victorious Orchis with their gauntlet choking the world, Nimrod and Omega Sentinel put their plan within a plan into action. They are to summon their binary god to consume everything in their accession. All that stands between them is the X-Men. What can they do? They're the X-Men. They'll find a way. That's their power. So begins a story beyond time and space, with the rise of powers beyond our petty human intelligence. From writer Kieron Gillen (IMMORTAL X-MEN, UNCANNY X-MEN) and artist R.B. @MatthewLoh-ru1mw to move on from krakoa is so stupid. Marvel will lose a lot of fans whit that move. It's like black panther moves away from wakanda, and there's no more wakanda. Or Doctor Doom moving on from his country. All marvel is doi g whot the x men and mutant is make them lose time and time again whitout somthing to show for. Whitout them going and moving forward.
And I hate how xavier ingonres the fact that Douglas is about to lose his wife's.
@@rodniegsm1575 it's not. It's about going back to basics and to the original status quo. After all, the X-men all began and started from the mansion, so it's not like they are going to lose fans as there are many who want or prefer them to go back to living at the mansion. I mean the Big Two comics are almost always reseting the status quo

The X-Men could have BOTH!... Keep the Krakoa-Empire as Headquarters/Refugee Hub and Having back to the X-Mansion as a home base of Operations/Training the next generation of Heroes... It's like what MCU Iron-Man said: Is it too much to ask for Both!
Honestly, yeah.
Xavier and the higher ups did mess up a lot. However, I loved Hellions, New Mutants and all the books about those who were the citizens on the island. Heck, X corp said a lot of good stuff in regard to mutants competing in the human financial world.

@@MatthewLoh-ru1mw I liked it as a companion piece to Way of X; how the faults of Krakoa can cause further problems.
And I do like my fair share of dramas with a corporate edge, like Empire and Succession. So seeing Monet and Angel not only running a post scarcity business and using villains like Mastermind and Selene to their benefit was rather fun.
@@christopherbennett5858 NO, it wasn't fun. Mutants should not be involved in "Corporate affairs or politics". That is not what mutants are meant for! And most certainly should not be dealing with people like Selene, who is a Predator only thinking about feeding on people. Haven't you seen how unrepentantly EVIL she is in IMMORTAL X-men?
The fact that Engima Dominion is the same Enigma (of the crown) from Defenders Beyond is terrifying because the Beyonders could only seal it away to isolated realities, walling it off from the rest of the Multiverse. But even they weren't sure it would work.
You know it’s the end of the world when one of Gambit’s mother-in-laws tells him that he was a good man.
Charles doesn't have to kill Moira before she turns thirteen. All they need to do is use Forge's power dampener gun that he used on Storm. They can just switch-off/destroy Moir's x-gene before she turns 13.
I think death makes it final. No chance of her gene some how activating again or something .

The Krakoa Era should have been called “The rise of Essex” since everything leads to Sinister’s victory. Even when we all thought it was the rise of the machines it was still a Sinister behind everyone’s woes. This is one of the most effective uses of Nathaniel Essex to date😮💨

Now this feels like what Hickman was originally planning when he laid all this stuff out. Feels like things are being tied up nicely. This is what I was hoping for when hox/pox started. I don't think the finish line will be a straight reset, Krakoa will linger somehow but resurrection etc probably has to get undone.
The Krakoa era is the longest of these issues I've ever set through and sometimes I get lost. Constantly asking myself where are all of so my favorite Marvel Superheroes but I guess their all gone or in hiding so sad but exciting to see my favorites pop up at the right time.

Krakoa brought me back to Marvel comics, & the Krakoan Era got me through some hard times.

I'm so nervous but this is one of my favourite variant teams ever. Sync as the Professor, Tony literally AS his suit, Ms Marvel in her ultimate form "queen of the mutants", and then classic Wolverine with a twist on Shadowcat. I mean, nothing is that inspired anymore and it was only a taste! Hickman and this era is just peak for me. I can die happy once we know how it resets

I still want Apocalypse to side with the X-Men. Same with Exodus and Mr. Sinister. Hope they retain the Quiet Council and Arakko on Mars after this event.
@@johnfrederickudtujan8337 nope. All of those will be undone and/reset back to the original status quo. And no, the Council has long since been disbanded before Fall OF X and Arrakko will most likely never be mentioned again. After what Sinister has done throughout the Krakoa Era, he will never be accepted back into the X-men ever again! More so he is still inside Xavier's head directing him and his action!
Do we know what's gonna happen when this jawn ends in May? What's the next arc?
I do hope they keep Krakoa in some capacity. I have a few issues(mainly Beast's characterization) but there is still a lot of untapped potential for storytelling and I don't know if I care to see them back in the mansion anymore.

This was a banger issue for me . I feelt like House of X and Powers of X again . Such storywriting brought me to x-men comics . This page got me really good . Seeing Emma dead like this i'm like ohh s#!t . I wish they kept her white clothes in the final editing,just like it was in the trailer . Not very knowlegable on the death seed but isn't that the seed that Apocalypse had that made him godlike and crazy powerful and was created by the celestials ? I think Nimrod should be having problems with individuals with that seed .
Damn it! I owe a friend $5. I bet Blerd was wrong, and this wasn't a spiritual successor to Hox/Pox... best 5 I've ever lost.

Basically what War Machine said about baby Thanos in Avengers Endgame. This actaully breaks X-Men cannon. If you kill one mutant child, what about Xavier and the others.
So what exactly is Kamala's mutant power? It doesn't look like that they showed what her actual mutant power is. So it all comes back full circle to Moira.

The real question is will some characters development and accomplishments be erase, such as Storm, Manifold and so on. Also will this also effect some avengers who were connected to the mutants
I would think they could just neutralize her abilities permanently. I know there are temporary ways to do it but if they could just harness that same ability on a grander scale, they could just stop her from ever being a mutant

Plus i hope if they do reset for "from the ashes" they do for charles what they did for omega sentinel. Charles being the last remnant of the krakoan era would make for great stories i think
The race towards dominion has proven to be a really good setting for a great story. I still wonder if Moira has feelings for her son Proteus. He needs a good story where he can use his powers at maximum level.
No. She NEVER HAD any feelings of love for her son. She merely gave birth to him so she could have a "3D printer by design"! So no, she will not teach him to use his powers properly
@MatthewLoh-ru1mw Moira always had feelings for her son. She only told him that during the second Hellfire Gala which could have been a lie. One way or another it’s a part of the recent reboot so writers can revert that reboot at any time as they have done in the past.

@MatthewLoh-ru1mw You don’t seem to have a full understanding on how comics work. What Moira said in the Hellfire Gala was probably a way to manipulate the situation. She was always looking out for the progress of Mutantkind so she might be playing everyone, including her son, into believing that she’s the villain so they don’t suspect her real plans. Heck! She even killed Jean knowing full well that she should resurrect. The Moira shown in the past was always helping mutants and always loved her son. You don’t seem to have enough experience with comics to know how they like to misdirect the readers for the big plot twist.
Also, it has been shown that Mystique does like Kurt and Rouge. She always has to make tough decisions for mutant survival but she has shown that she loves them. You seem to have a narrow perspective on what love is and are unable to grasp the bigger picture of how love comes in different ways. I suggest gaining more experience in life and in reading comics so you don’t sound so naive.

i would love to be a dominion myself. i could get so much more accomplished. i'd even love to go through the seige perilous, it could get more problems away that i have been dealing with

Cool story but how does this fits in with the previous timeline we've seen of Thanos controlling the marvel universe. The one where he has the infinity stones in thors hammer and has been tormenting iron man as well.

I think it is loki... since this enemy is tied to the marvel defenders comics...and loki chose to stay in the multiverse to protect it rather than leave at the last issue of the Marvel defenders after being convinced by blue marvel... it could be that he has been scheming but knew the enigma was even more threat to the multiverse ...even a threat to the one above all

I might be in the minority here, but this comic was ass. I feel like they tried to cram too much in and go too many different directions, seemed way too manic to have any sort of cohesion whatsoever.
