doing calligraphy for over a year has for sure improved my handstyles. I find abstract calligraphy is especially important for developing your own scripts and understanding how different strokes interact with each other
Yeah absolutely. It's the kind of think where there is an easy set of rules to learn that you can almost immediately start to play with once you lose the basics which is super nice for us graff artists of course haha

Great review Sciz...... i agree, I find the the nibs on the small grog mops wear out pretty quick. I prefer the molotow for the size of the body and for some reason the nibs seem to last longer.
Yeah I haven't used the molotow long enough yet to ruin a nib but they do seem to have better nibs that the alternatives some how

I’ve got a tag up from about 4 years ago, in the blazing sun and cold wet winters that my environment has, it’s going strong. with the grog FMP. colors are still perfect too. I’m not a fan of their mops, but the ink stands the test of elements.
Yeah something about the thickness and stickiness of it seems to really make it hold on to a surface. I've had pretty much the same experience with it other than the colours have faded for me a bit
i love the 007 it has super opaque and plus it’s pretty cheep and squeezes really well

Great video as always! Just got the 007 as a small pocket inker to EDC and it's been nice.
One little peeve I have since I listen to you on speakers, your voice gets very quiet, whispery and raspy at the end of longer sentences. You can try speaking with your diaphragm more, breathe better or make use of editing to deliver full volume sentences. I have to turn up the volume midway through a sentence and then get blasted by loud noise when you start a new one 😂 I had the same issue, believe me, it takes a bit of practice but it's very rewarding in life to learn how to speak louder/clearer.

I love all of those but the grog is my edc. Idk why it just feels right. The nib comes off with the cap sometimes but it's still dope. I rock the gold 901 soultip in it and it slaps
Yesh their gold is sick! It doesn't mix well with anything that I've tried but by itself it's super nice. And for the nib I agree, I try to clean the cap often to prevent that

Haven’t t had the best experience with the grog 0.5 mini. The nib comes off with the cap all the time even with continual cleaning and the nib tore a hole in it within the first couple of days of using. Over all great video keep it up.
I do agree, the nib care does get tiresome haha Much more so than the other 2 mops for sure
Favourite and current mop I use is a mtn street paint mop, nice soft but thick body and the nib has been pretty durable, just refilled it with some grog hard to buff ink and the ink didn’t react bad with the left over paint in it. Would love to see a review if you can get your hands on one in your country.

The nib is pretty fragile so you have to use it on smooth surfaces then it’s great
Quick question, what inks work in them? I know the plastic body can be great for paints but some inks do not work well.

Inks should all work in them from the standpoint of them being usually thinner than paints. The only thing I warn about is once an ink is in a mop, it's super hard to use anything else in it without having some of that leftover ink mess with whatever you try to put in there in the future. The only inks that aren't gonna be happy campers in there are solvent based ones that will evapourate such as the OTR Speed White or something like that. Personally I've used inkredible ink in the molotow dripsticks and it's been super nice. I think for the most part I've always stuck with paints in the other ones actually

So as far as the leaking from the hit it from the back feature on the Molotow drip sticks I only had it leak one time because I was afraid to over tighten the cap on the back. But as soon as I realized that I could tighten that sucker all the way down and then some I've never had a problem. I think people might just be afraid to tighten it too much because with lower grade Plastics it'll just strip the threads and then you've ruined your marker. Don't be afraid to tighten with that gorilla grip. 👍🏼. Stay up sciz
That's a good point that I hadn't considered. Definitely not one to underdo with how few threads there are at the back to begin with. Good point!
Sciz do you have a recommendation of witch ink to use I have no idea what to choose?
There are a lot of good ones out there so it's hard to go super wrong but I have really enjoyed the otr inkredible ink since starting to use it about a year ago. I find it does all the inky things really well but also mixes really well with a lot of paints.
Which would you recommend buying if you had to pick?(also love your reveiw videos keep it up).
I really like all three and I thunk it's hard to go wrong with any of them. But it definitely depends on what you like most in a mop. Like if it's a thick paint, then the grog is super nice whereas tje other two feel much more squeezable I'd say. It's hard to pick since I legitimately use all 3 but my points in the last part of the video were sort of my honest likes and dislikes of each I guess

The OTR lasted less than 10 tags for me, and im not doing huge tags! Red was really streaky, didnt look great. A bit of a waste of money imo....prob not the right mop for me.

Man I wish I could. They just seem to tear so fast. I always thought it was cause I was was using them on rougher freight metal but after hearing how everyone seems to did those nibs sorta poor, it's obviously just how they are I think unfortunately

Believe it or not I squeeze my Molotov mop in the same spot you do the body just got flattened out and it made it hard for the thread to full grab all the way around I suggest not squeezing hard with the refill from the back mops

I've heard a couple people say that. It's never happened to me but i'm not surprised with any mini mop I feel like it's a bigger possibility
I personally wouldn't recommend OTR soul tip done about 4 tags with it and the bottle split open on the side and the paint spilled everywhere.. I didn't even apply that much pressure

Which one is the Best for beginners?
For beginners the best I can recommend is not to tag in street the best you can do for now is a cheap notebook and sharpies for a few months get a style and then go ahead and get a mop.

You should get experience without losing money on expensively products I think
They are all similar enough if you're looking to just get the feel of a mop. I'd a tuakky day a 10mm nib mop is a good mop to get the feel of personally. It's a nice in-between size that sorta makes everything else feel a little more natural in my opinion. When I started using 10mm nib mops I found that I was immediately better with the other sizes like these little ones too.
