My son and I rode from Dorset to do this route in cloud and biblical rain. It was horrendous and we didn't see a thing. Thanks for showing us what we missed. Not bitter at all!
Ah, I remember as a younger man smashing those twisties like I was laying down a lap at Nordschleife! So much fun on roads like those! These days I stop frequently to just marvel at all those incredible views I used to blast past. Marveling at this incredible world we live in. Wondering what I’ve all missed all these years of riding. Wonderful video, mate! Stay safe out there!
And God created Austria and the motorcycle to ride them. Epic. Did Brenner 3 years ago. It was a perfect day. Thanks for sharing. Joy juice? Mrs Traveller did giggle. Happy travels
Hi Andy, now after my comment on the stelvio bumpy roads, now this pass i really enjoyed great too see it again but at times its buzy you was really lucky....superb views great trip Cheers Glenn.
Brilliant ride through a great pass. Love the camera work but the editing must have taken so much longer than the ride. Thank you for the effort. I’m still envious watching from lock down
Thanks very much and welcome to the support team! 🙏🏻 The editing was definitely longer than the ride! Probably by about ten times! 😂 Worth it to share something nice to watch though!
Just did the Jaufen pass yesterday to get to Maranello after watching this a while back. Now sitting in Pisa for a couple of days via the SP3 and SS12 before heading home via Grossglockner/Zell am See… I’ve had worse holidays. Thanks for the videos lad, highly appreciated.
That last sentence in this vid convinced me ...you got a new subscriber ! And yes, Tirolians love to identify as Germans - until people joke about german humor, german lovers and other assorted clichees. Then they hurry to identify as Italians again... until people joke about italian politics, the mafia, etc, then they hurry to identify ... you get the drift. As a South Tirolian you can pick the best of 2 cultures. Throw in the fantastic landscape & the food and you are close to paradise. Great vid. Safe driving. From a german (who envies the Tirolians just a little...)
Your videos always inspire me to ride then I look out my window & see its raining 😆 Its tough to go away because I have 2 young children but I have quit smoking & started taking care of myself so I'm healthy enough to tour in the future. Great video as always AMC. It's been a pleasure to watch you from the very beginning.
Witty , informative and funny …….. ahh the all round package Andy , I must say the strudel….ing sounded some what puzzling , and I’m pleased I’m not the only one having trouble with with Cardo 😝 In Australia we have some beautiful Scenery , but it pales in comparison to the mountain regions of Europe , you are very lucky to have such great riding so close to home , another great video Andy as always 👍
That brought back fond memories from years ago. Dug out my own footage, from an old DogCam, and not much has changed! That is still a good one. Cracking camera work there.

looking stunning there!! And as always love the music editing 👌🏻✌🏻. Maybe a trip for next year when the madness has cooled down . Keep the shiny part up 👊🏻
Another great video Andy, just checked out your hotels as I’m hoping to visit Dolomites and South Tyrol next year, I can see a plan developing😀👍 Love the Cardo interaction and I’m a big fan of Knox gear too, based in Cumbria too not far from me here in Northumberland.
Cheers Ian! Splendid stuff! The planning is almost as exciting as the doing! I still have to get myself to the Dolomites at some point. Nothing quite as satisfying as supporting local business too. I’m really impressed with the Knox stuff as well. I looked like a poster boy for them for most of this ride! 😂
Some stunning views there Andy and your camera placement especially your 360 one is great, the shot going around the switch back was brilliant it seemed like you had a camera man following you. So Jealous of this trip 😫 👍
Hi Andy that was a very good one to watch your bike riding and handling through the Twisties is very skilled like that of a GP rider, you ride that bike better than the fz1 in My opinion well done Andy for the video,
Thank you very much Geoffrey. I’m sure the cameras make it look quicker than it is, but nevertheless I’m very glad that is how it comes across! I agree about the FZ1 though. I ride somehow smoother and more relaxed on the Honda and that makes everything flow a little faster!
😂 @ Cardo issues … I know them so well, telling her off is a constant thing I do. Try this “hey cardo … (slight pause) … music on”. Another top one mate really enjoyed it thank you 👍🏻
Awesome video , camera and road! Refreshing to just hear engine too- great Honda inline 4 and now may have to trade my cb1100ex(little heavy) for the cb1000R
Great video. Brings back memories from a family road trip. Only suggestion would be to wind up the engine every now and then. It felt like short shift city! Frustrating!
I noticed that too and it’s actually something I’m going to mention when i take it in for service. I think that’s the cause of my sporadic false neutrals. It should spring back immediately! Shoddy Honda engineering! 😜
Great wee vid Dude 😎 👍🏼 not so keen on the gimbal on the camera but it can be handy to see lots of views without cutting the action. Looks nice and flowy.
Cheers mate! I did overuse the 360° camera a bit at the beginning. I got better as time went on, I promise! The Norway tour was probably the perfect balance, in my humble opinion!
Cheers Craig. Me too! Seems you can do almost anything with it! It does add quite a considerable amount of extra editing time over the regular GoPro footage though.
Ah yes! I completely 'forgot' to break the suspense! (Because the helmet camera didn't work!) I did make it back and had a lovely 3 course dinner in front of the mountains! Gladly! I think I'm going to have to just learn what the buttons do! Hell no, I don't miss the rain! If only they could all be like this! But then I suppose things would get a little boring!
Wonderful :), just two more weeks to go and will be on the very same roads (again). Beautiful bit of editing there again Andy. Which music was that around 21 minutes?
I really like them both Jeremy. But of course there are differences. The ABS is bigger, lockable and easier to open/close. The legend gear looks simply 👌 and unlike the ABS bins, the more you chuck them on the floor and dirty them up, the cooler they look! But they’re fiddlier to pack than the ABS and a bit smaller too. If pure function is your goal, can’t go wrong with the ABS. If style is important and you pack light, the LG is hard to beat. The real Bonus for those in the luxurious position of having both, is that you can chop and change on the SLC carriers. No need to swap anything over.
@@AndyManCam Thanks for the reply and detail Andy, Looking to buy a new CB1R, and love S W stuff, the Legend bags are much more to my taste, and look the Dogs B's on the CB, Have you used both the LC1 and LC2.? I am Inclined to get one of each... Cheers Jeremy
No Problem Jeremy. I’ve only used the small ones so far. I thought they looked a bit more minimal, but I’m sure the big ones will be just as good a fit.
Another good one! My XSR900s suspension is very hard and nervous (that's what she said...) and therefore not really comfortable. How is that on the CB?
Have you set the preload to the lowest setting for front and rear and adjusted the rebound to get the best response over bumps? the XSR suspension is the same as the tracer (not off MT09) and as such is designed for a heavier bike that carries extra weight. Setting to lowest preload has improved my bike to what is almost comfortable on rough country roads.
@@nl5095 Thanks! Yes I eased them off. It helped somewhat, especially on the back. Front becomes quite too soft, so maybe proper balance yet to be found...
Thanks mate! The suspension on the CB is a Mixed Bag. I’m pretty happy with the front, although i could maybe do with stronger springs. But the back is awful. It’s very crashy and uncomfortable and doesn’t like rough roads at all. It needs to be replaced asap.
I remember being put right by a waiter in marano about how they identified as German rather than Italian. Also why has tmf got two hundred thousand subs and you only have thirty thousand .He's no where near as funny/entertaining as you one of life's mysteries. 😂
Is that the Knox Urbane jacket Andy? If you've worn something like a Rev'it Airwave or Eclipse jacket (full on mesh) how would you compare. I have the Oxford Mondial too, great laminate jacket 👍
It is indeed Critch. It’s the mk1 though. The new one has better protection. I’m hoping to get hold of one soon. I’m afraid this is the only mesh jacket I’ve worn, but i can’t really see how it could be bettered. Also a fan of the Mondial jacket. Great value for money.
@@AndyManCam thanks. I've a Rev'it Eclipse at the moment which is full on mesh with armor but when it hit 31c a few weeks ago even that was hot in slow traffic or stopped. Thinking if the knox has armor and good airflow that might be next on the wishlist. BTW, your review of the Triumph Tiger 800 a few years ago is why I bought one and got me back into motorcycling after a 25 year hiatus 👍 😎
Haha! I don’t think she’ll answer! 😂 The jeans I’ve got are Knox Shield Mk1‘s ( www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/486197/#/27945,3255,0 ) and they’re brilliant. Very comfy and I’ve even worn them down the pub without looking like a 🔔end! I’m waiting for German customs to release the AAA rated mk2 version, but i imagine they’ll be just as good, only safer!
I felt that they were a bit too sticky-outy and i caught my shins on them a few times (not bad, just lightly while dismounting). So i switched them for something a bit more subtle.
@@X-11 So far i think they’re great. They’re GSG ones. Thankfully I’ve not needed to actually ‚test‘ them yet. But they look really good and fit with the bike really well.
I do, although for various reasons i find them very uncomfortable. When I’m in the super twisties and I’ll not likely go over 70kmh, i might leave them out. But anything over that they’re a must.
@@AndyManCam yeah that's what I thought. And how do you find the HJC RPHA 70 helmet? They claim it's one of the quietest but surely not enough over 70 kmh
Nice work with the 360 cameras and the editing, Is that a separate recording device?. Couple of shots to many with the down gear changes as there a bit clunky does not give you any credit, Good job! Overall
Thanks Bruce! Yeah, the audio was from a Zoom H1 that I had in my pocket. amzn.to/39iFGES Sadly the shifts on this bike are what they are! The gearbox likes to let me know that the gear is in!
Thanks for another video, Andy Not a big fan of the camerawork in this one, though Found it a bit disorientating and hope you will return to your usual POV footage.
I disliked this one too as I wasn't there at the premiere :( But to be honest it's a pretty damn good video. You are a lucky boy to get all that to yourself.
Biker's porn. Great job, very well done. Jealous to the max. I didn't notice any speed advisory signs on corners, do you have them there? Also doesn't the Honda rev higher than 5K?
Thanks Mick. I don't think there were any. Italians obviously don't care for that kind of nannying! 😆 I know what you mean about the short shifting. I was just keeping it relaxed and legal! Things get jailworthy very quickly when you rev it out!
@@mickyoung4931 My stepdad does the same. I stopped after getting a German driving license!! 😂 now I can get points! I’ll keep the revs down then! Works well as a cloaking device for the coppers. Sounds like you’re going way slower than you are!
2nd time! 😍 "That's me, I've been coffeed and strudeled." That'll be a must for me if I make it out there. ❤📷🏍💕 That was an excellent ride👍🏼👍🏼
I can’t recommend it enough! Coffee and a strudel with an alpine view is a must!
I know I have said it before but the editing is spot on. The mix of cameras works seamlessly, awesome, cheers Andy!

I remember being put right by a waiter in marano about how they identified as German rather than Italian. Also why has tmf got two hundred thousand subs and you only have thirty thousand .He's no where near as funny/entertaining as you one of life's mysteries. 😂
Thank you kindly Terry. Sadly i still have no grasp on how the UA-cam gods operate and how i can make them happy!! I’ll keep trying though!
Epic👍
Thanks Gili!
Hey cardo, what brand of jeans does Andy recommend?
Cardo voice commands working perfectly there I see lol 😂
Since the last update every time I ask battery status it reply’s back “battery status?” 🤦♂️
Haha! That’s an interesting quirk! I think I’m going to give up with the voice commands!!
4.28 if you don't mind!
Haha! Good eyes! 👀
@@AndyManCam hard to tell.
have u ditched the swmotech crash bars? @AndyManCam, for what reason if u have?
I felt that they were a bit too sticky-outy and i caught my shins on them a few times (not bad, just lightly while dismounting). So i switched them for something a bit more subtle.
@@AndyManCam gotcha, thanks for the response. Let us know how u like them!!
@@X-11 So far i think they’re great. They’re GSG ones. Thankfully I’ve not needed to actually ‚test‘ them yet. But they look really good and fit with the bike really well.
Hi, do you wear hear plugs when riding?
@@AndyManCam That's for the info , what I meant was it's not your fault 😳🙄 but probably the bike when at lower revs into first gets a bit clunky 🙄
Haha! Very true, although I’ve had bikes that were worse! 😂
@@AndyManCam looks as if I've caught you on the job with a reply that fast 😜
I'm always on the job Bruce! ;D
The weather gods are looking favourably on you, just one question. Did you pack waterproofs?!
Incredibly favorably! I had full laminated gear with me, so technically yes, i did have waterproofs 😁
“Coffee’d and strudel’ed”. It’s a hard life you live, mate. How do you find the will to go on? 😝😝😝
It's often hard, but somehow I find the strength from deep in my soul to soldier on. For the greater good!
@@AndyManCam 🤣
Oh yeh and I turned off the voice activation on my cardo. I was sick of it phoning someone or putting the radio on...
I’ve had that a few times too. I’ve learned not to sing along! 😂
Your just just teasing now as 2moz I'm cancelling me EU Hotels 😭 and redirect to Scotland. Too risky travelling with the restrictions now
That’s too bad mate. Really sorry about that. I hope you get good weather in Scotland as a consolation.
Thanks for another video, Andy
Not a big fan of the camerawork in this one, though
Found it a bit disorientating and hope you will return to your usual POV footage.
Cheers mate! Totally get it that it’s not for everyone. Don’t worry, I’ll do my best to keep it mixed up. Nobody likes a one trick Pony!
I disliked this one too as I wasn't there at the premiere :( But to be honest it's a pretty damn good video. You are a lucky boy to get all that to yourself.
Fair enough Mike! 🤣 i was the luckiest in all the Hills!
I call them go fast signs, read the speed and double it 😄 Keep short shifting, if you get jailed I'm not interested in watching that type of porn... 🤣
@@mickyoung4931 My stepdad does the same. I stopped after getting a German driving license!! 😂 now I can get points! I’ll keep the revs down then! Works well as a cloaking device for the coppers. Sounds like you’re going way slower than you are!
